Recommendations for Ottawa?

Not sure the best place to post this but I thought I'd start here. Looking for recommendations for classy romantic dinner locations in Ottawa for my wife's birthday. Looking to make it a special experience for her. Any suggestions?

Hmm... the last time i was there, we just got some stuff at Loblaws and ate in the parking lot. Considering the number of bureaucrats & diplomats lunching every weekday, there must be a few good places. I've never hit one, though.

It's been years since I lived in Ottawa and I doubt any of the places I used to eat are what you are looking for... sorry.

I've never eaten at these places, I'm more of an Elgin Street Diner or DiRienzo's kind of guy when I'm in Ottawa. But found these on the Ottawa Plus website under Valentines Day, but I reckon it should work for your wife's birthday as well.
