Quaker Harvest Crunch Light & Crisp Honey Almond with All-Bran Buds and added protein powder and cocoa.

Jove 09-12-2009 06:17 AM

Oatmeal and a soynut butter english muffin with a glass of orange juice and coffee.

Meier_Link 09-12-2009 06:21 AM

I just finished an omelet with spinach sauted with crushed red pepper, chicken breast strips and feta cheese, and coupled each bite with a thin slice of roma tomato. Pretty good breakfast.

Spiritsoar 09-12-2009 06:37 AM

Smoothie made out of strawberry, banana, passion fruit, plain yogurt, a little skim milk, some vanilla protein powder, and a few ice cubes.

Ok, so not really eating as much as drinking, but good snack anyway.

Grasshopper Green 09-12-2009 03:55 PM

After dinner mints.

Just a plain old bowl of cereal with vanilla soymilk.

shalafi 09-13-2009 07:46 AM

Just got back from IHOP. Colorado omelette and pancakes. Whoever thought of putting pot roast in an omelette is a friggin genius.

wooÐs 09-13-2009 08:04 AM

peanut butter and strawberry jam w/ coffee.

I normally don't eat and drink coffee, but it's actually a good combination.

thirdsun 09-13-2009 01:35 PM

Vienna Sausage. One of the major food groups.

evilbeefchan 09-14-2009 11:49 AM

Leftovers scramble: eggs, braised pork, broccoli and sriracha/cholula-yogurt. Lots of tortillas and napkins recommended.

Baraka_Guru 09-14-2009 12:01 PM

Raw, unsalted almonds and dried papaya.

Later I might be ramblin' again....hopefully about some Maggie Moo's delectable creamy vanilla ice cream with roasted almonds folded into it.

I just tried a relatively new local little restaurant, Saffron Indian Kitchen

http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g2...d/Saffron1.jpg

...well, I did take-out but next time I'll eat there since it looked very charming and cozy. I wanted to sample a few items, so for my first tasting menu I had:

vegetable samosa: homemade turnovers stuffed with diced potatoes and peas, flavored with spices
papri chaat: lentil wafers topped with chick peas, potatoes, yogurt tamarind & mint chutney and sprinkled w/roasted cumin
lamb korma: boneless pieces of lamb cooked in a rich almond and cream sauce
fish curry: haddock fillet with curry leaves, cumin powder, dry chilies cooked in chef's special sauce
tandoori chicken: spring chicken marinated in masala yogurt for 24 hours and baked in tandoor
onion naan: crisp baked leavened buttered bread stuffed with lightly spiced onions

Try it, you'll like it.

wooÐs 09-19-2009 04:32 PM

Damn ^^.

I just had pretzels.
Even just sucked the salt off a few and gave those to the dog :/.

BadNick 09-19-2009 04:44 PM

woods, there's enough left over for you...come on over. bring doggie.

noodle 09-19-2009 05:29 PM

^ my favorites are chicken korma, chicken vindadloo, navarantan korma, gobi manchurian, chicken 65, chicken tikka masala, garlic naan, vegetable samosas and masala dosa.

BadNick 09-19-2009 05:37 PM

thirdsun 09-19-2009 05:43 PM

noodle 09-19-2009 05:53 PM

for dinner, i hit the whole foods buffet. i only get a few bites of things. so i had channa masala, lentils and couscous, israeli couscous with garbanzo beans, buffalo garlic tofu, tofu rice, chicken stir fry, and a little chicken-almond-apricot salad.

. i prefer it as an appetizer.

A classic old deli near my house that had been there for at least 50 years closed for renovations a couple months ago. It was bought by the successful restaurateur who owns the nice little middle eastern cafe next door. So recently it opened again and today I tried it out.

I got a pastrami and chopped liver on rye with tomato and raw onion and a little russian dressing on it. YUMMY!!! I give it an 8 out of 10 and will try again.

BadNick 09-27-2009 04:01 PM

World King's Balboa reminded me that I haven't had ham & eggs for a long time, so I just cooked up a batch; also melted some shredded cheddar cheese over it; and had it with a couple slices of one of my favorite breads, a crusty semolina bread from a local Italian joint

Smarties - 4 rolls

snowy 09-27-2009 06:02 PM

Leftover chow mein.

evilbeefchan 09-27-2009 09:09 PM

Had some ramen at Daikokuya in Little Tokyo, where the couple seated next to us had a very awkward (and very public) breakup conversation. I felt like I was on a hidden camera show or something.

That looks awesome.
I looooove sandwiches. Like Joey Tribbiani, they're my favorite food.

And I'm not eating this now - had it last night - but I had a Sonic binge. A BLT croissant thing with tater tots AND mozzarella sticks AND a chocolate malt for dessert. The bacon was overcooked :/. But everything else was fabulous.

snowy 09-28-2009 11:48 AM

I'm eating a carnitas burrito bowl from Chipotle with pico de gallo and corn salsa. Yum.

streak_56 10-04-2009 03:50 PM

Lobster, Portabella Mushroom Potato Soup... homemade by me... I just threw things together hoping to make potato soup!

Jove 10-04-2009 03:52 PM

T-Bone Steak with rice, two rolls and then angel food cake.

evilbeefchan 10-04-2009 06:37 PM

Curry red lentils and baklava ice cream.

LoganSnake 10-04-2009 06:53 PM

Just finished what we call "hot sammiches"

Toast a piece of bread, put some ketchup on it, cold cuts of your choice and tomatoes. Sprinkle with lots of cheese. Put it in the oven until cheese melts (or microwave if you're hungry in a hurry, but this results in slightly soggy bread). Yummo.

BadNick 10-14-2009 09:42 AM

banana ...nice and ripe and sweet but firm, just the way I like 'em. This ones from Honduras according to the little tag on it.

World's King 10-15-2009 08:42 AM

Fried Spam and egg sammich.

Yes, I said Spam.

Leto 10-15-2009 08:57 AM

just ate a Harvey's Angus Burger with Cheese, Onion Rings and a coffee.

BadNick 10-15-2009 09:55 AM

burritos carnitas from my recently discovered little hole-in-the-wall Mexican restaurant near work called Cholula ...in Warminster PA so if in the area, stop in. As previously posted in this thread, their tacos are also awesome!

So this time I tried the roast pork burrito and it was great! Very moist, tastey roast pork with just a little bit of refried beans in a HUGE burrito.

wooÐs 10-15-2009 10:23 AM

That does look yum. Hole-in-the-wall Mexican places often have the best food. Not that Tex Mex crap.

snowy 10-15-2009 12:12 PM

Cream of wheat with raisins, cinnamon, real maple syrup, and a dab of butter. Yummy and warm.

mmmmm, that sounds good. I have those ingredients so you inspired me to have it as a bedtime snack tonight.

BadNick 10-18-2009 04:17 PM

hmmmyummm, was driving downtown so I decided to stop in Maoz on South St. and get me a pita stuffed with falafel and veggie goodness:

http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g2.../maozmagic.jpg

mine looked very much like that, but that's not my pic. I have a large collection of Maoz pics because I like it and I looked into acquiring a franchise since I think it would be insanely successful in my neighborhood.
