I never heard of those, but now thanks to Cynth's inspiration, I will be eating some as soon as I find them. There's a Target on my way home so I'll have to see if they have them yet.

Not knowing what they are, I wanted to see what they look like:



...and then I also found this strange down under custom of biting off one end and sucking up your mug of hot coffee thru the Tim Tam...I gotta try this, it sounds great!

My Aussie friends here always bring a pack or two whenever someone has a BBQ. I had one just the other day and it was quite tasty.

Yes I have had tim tams too many times to count and I have drunk hot beverage thru them. But they are just a biscuit so any choc creamy crunchy melty bikkie should do if tim tams are unavailable.

but the press seems to indicate that it's merely branded by PF.

I'm still trying to figure out if these are the biscuits a friend from Vancouver had brought me a few years ago.

I won't say it's just branded.... most food products are altered slightly to match the local tastes. It is only when it is imported that it is 100% the same
