Easy soup (for camping or when you're lazy)
I created this soup for camping, then I realized I can make it in my house and it still tastes good.
It's very basic, but is better than a burger at Mcdonalds. Buillion cube (chicken, vegetable, beef or shrimp, whichever you prefer) green onions (scallions) dried shiitake mushrooms (any dried mushrooms will do, I like shiitake) boil water, add buillion, crumble up dried mushrooms, top with green onion. Its cheap and easy and quick and no mess. You can add whatever you like to it. Day old rice, carrot, whatever you feel like. |
I do a similar soup but I use orzo pasta as well (very small, rice shaped)

I like that, simple and sounds like it would hit the spot.
I tend to like doctoring up the ramen noodle packs...add anything to it that is left over and laying around, meat, veggies, fish. |
I'm loving these soup recipes you're posting, skizziks. We eat a lot of soup, so I'm always looking for new things to try.

Soup is yummy on cold Autumn evenings. I will have to try this one out. Maybe in a tent.
