and finally, this. It's a philipino dish but I can't remember the name for it.

Banana Wrapper - steamed mochi rice w/ sugar, coconut milk, then stuffed w/ banana and a few black beans, wrapped in a banana leaf and steamed.

Beer is food, alright, and good beer makes me suspend my general disdain for the human race at large (by taste, not by drunkenness. Drink too much and that disdain returns redoubled.)

Mashed potatoes, made with butter, not margerine or any gosh darned spread of sorts, with west indian hot pepper sauce mixed into it.

with homemade, herby meatballs in gravy.

Glory be.

Either that, or any variety of Jalfreizi.

After a month in Italy, I can say that any food given to me in Italy is enough to put a dopey lookin grin on my face. Only thing on this side of the water I've found to compare is a place called Angel Sweet, a gelato store that actually does a pretty good job of recreating the italian dessert.

Let's go for a whole (thai) meal.

Start with Tom Kha Gai, a delicious coconut milk-based soup with chicken and mushrooms and flavored with lemongrass and dried hot peppers.

Follow that up with some Masaman Curry, coconut milk, masaman curry, chicken, potatoes, onions and peanuts. DE-LICIOUS!

For desert, some sticky rice and thai custard. Perfect!
