Failed experiments
 

Please post your failed food experiments to help keep others from making the same mistake.

Example:

I've mixed taco seasoning with sour cream to make a yummy chip dip, mixed ketchup and mustard and mayo to make chip dip (both good), but when I mixed taco seasoning with mayo it turned out really disgusting and gave me a stomach ache.

Boiling frozen fish fillets in too much water made a fishy soupy mess. Ended up being flushed.

Others?

I love a bit of HP sauce mixxed with Mayo for a nice sauce to eat with chicken or pork.

Dont try to make your own tomato sauce with just tomato paste

Sliced avocado with sauteed shrimp. Just looking at these typed words upsets my stomach.

You don't need to add salt to your brine when you smoke oysters. It turns out they have enough of the stuff. I ended up with a pile of very salty smoked oysters:(
