Alcohol Infused with Fruit

A friend of mine took a few pints of beautiful, Driscol raspberries and out them in a bottle of vodka and left it for a few weeks. He never got to sample it (it got stollen at his birthday party).

The concoction looked gorgeous. What infusions have you seen?

I was thinking that lemon lime might be neat.

My dad used to make cherry and orange cordial by mixing Everclear, tons of sugar, and cherries/orange slices. Oh, and kumquat cordial too!

I haven't made anything, but I've been wanting to make some apricot brandy because all we can get in NC is the bottom shelf stuff that tastes nasty. If anyone has any suggestions, let me know

the Pluot was the big hybrid fruit this summer... which was a cross between an apricot and a plum.. and were really tasty... It'd be interesting to try apricot brandy inflused with plums...

There was a Russian restaurant here in Memphis called Cafe Samovar that used to steep their own vodkas. This was about 10 years ago. The restaurant is gone now (after something like 20 years of business).

My favorite was the blueberry vodka. I can still taste it to this day. Blueberry vodka, a little soda and a dash of Liqor 43 in it to make just a little sweet.
