I've been given the weekend off. I'm leaving Monday for Florida again, and after that my life will be hell for a few weeks.

It'd be nice to get together with some of you ladies and gent(s) in the Cinci/Dayton area. Where? When? How? I don't care. I just think it'd be fun to actually get some photos this time. ASU, if you come I expect you to take some photos with that fancy Cannon, rather than just showing it off.

Here are some ideas:
- hiking
- horseback riding (Pony Potato?)
- dinner/drinks
- amusement park

If you're all busy, and nothing comes of this thread, oh well. We'll find another time, sometime.

Since the weather has been nice, the mud might be reduced at Hueston Woods. We could try hiking there.

As for horseback riding.. if my boyfriend was going to be here this weekend, I might be able to arrange something, since he has sane horses. Because he's out of town and I have only one (crazy) horse, I can't really help. Most trail riding places that I know of require some advance notice.

Amusement parks aren't open yet. They usually open in late April/Early May, I think.

Dinner/drinks would be fabulous, too. :) We could always go hiking in the afternoon and get dinner after? That way anyone who doesn't want to hike can join us for dinner instead.

Let me know! I won't be online much until late tonight, so a text message that the thread has been updated would be great.

I was just thinking that we needed to plan one of these... BUT this weekend's out for me, since I'm in North Carolina 'til Sunday.


Also, just throwing it out there, but my birthday's at the end of April. It will most likely be a combination birthday/going away party, and I'd love to see some TFP'ers before leaving the state. I'll definitely keep you posted.

Ok! I'll e-mail ASU, Shoegirl and Zombie Squirrel in case they're around and just haven't seen the thread. Otherwise, looks like it's just me & Pony for this super-last-minute-tiny-mini-get-together.

Hiking + Dinner sounds like a great combo!
We could meet at the Sugar Shack trailhead at Hueston Woods at 4pm today (Saturday) or tomorrow (Sunday).

We could do it either Saturday or Sunday, though I'm inclined to do it Sunday so more people have a chance to respond.

The weather is better today.

On my list of things to do today was get outside and take some pictures.

The weather IS better today, but I've had a busy morning. 4 pm is probably not doable for me today, though dinner is more possible.

Sunday is supposed to be rainy(?), but not as cold as previously forecasted. Still near 60! I'm up for mud if you are. :)

Sundays aren't really good for me though. (And my camera and rain don't go together very well)

What time could you meet at?

What does genuinegirly want to do? I will have to start driving pretty soon to make it there by 4.

I could probably do 5:30 or 6 pm today. Thanks to daylight savings time, we'll have light until 7:30 at least.

I'll send genuinegirly a text to check this thread out.

Ooo! I think 6pm would be great! I forgot about it staying bright later. Hopefully I can drag Tt along for this one.

6 pm today it is! I'll plan on meeting at Sugar Shack trailhead right at 6 pm - a short hike would be great today. My legs are tired from cycling, running, and horseback riding but I'm still itching to enjoy the weather. :)

I suppose we can discuss food after the hike. I'm going to try to get a nap in before I head out. See you guys later. :)
