Chicago 3/6-3/7
 

So, after tons of bugging me (;)) I'm finally getting to Chicago! The plan is for my friend and I to get to Chicago sometime Saturday morning, and then coming back home Sunday night. We will be staying with Monkie and plan on doing as much as possible in the short time we will be there!

So, if any of you guys want to catch up with me for lunch, dinner, breakfast, alcohol, whatever! Let me know. I'm sure Monkie and I can make plans revolving around meet and greets. :)

Dang, I'm on Daddy Detail all weekend (The_Wife is going on a girl's weekend) and then I'm headed to Colorado on Sunday for work. :(

Jazz, she'll have a car and I was thinking about suggesting we go to Superdawg... that'd still be kid friendly!

Superdawg? Now, I'm really happy for you, and Imma let you finish, but Hot Doug's has the best encased meats of all time. The best encased meats of ALL TIME!

So this is going down less than 48 hours from now!

Who's still on board? RangerJoe and co. will be getting in late morning from the sounds of it.

Definitely sounds like Saturday night is back at my place enjoying lots of Rum, Pina Coladas, Upside Down Chocolate Pudding cake, and lots of fun :)

Rest of the day is open based on what folks want to do. Weather is forecasted to be the nicest day we've had this year.

Let me know what you guys figure out. I'm on Single Dad detail all weekend, but I could do something kid-friendly.

Current plans! as of 12noon Saturday

We're going to Giordanos at Sheridan and Pratt - should be there about 1pm.

after lunch we're hopping on the red line and heading downtown to wander around. If you want to meet up with us, just give RJ or myself a call/or text.

We'll probably be in the vicinity of Michigan Ave, the Lakefront, and the Red Line.

Damn. RJ couldn't have come at a better time. The weather is the best we've had in about 4 months.

I'm at home with a sick kid. Hopefully he'll be feeling better tomorrow.

We had a great time and definitely plan on going back! Everyone needs to hang out with Monkie a least once. She's pretty awesome. :)

Those pictures from the first half of the day look great (except for the particularly unflattering ones of me :p)! So glad you guys had nice weather in which to enjoy the city! It was tons of fun meeting you and I hope you get back here soon. :)

ive never seen snow ona beach until WK pointed it out. and here i thought it was scum/foam.
