They are having a huge event and since I know there are a few pagans here thought I would advertise.

Lady Sage would know more so IM her or reply here so she can give you more info.

So...what, exactly, does this event entail? Just a parade? Milk and cookies after? A skyclad street dance?

It's going to entail a few rituals, some highland games, of course the readings, a fire of celebration, classes, etc. I know they are planning to have the press cover it and they want to make it a yearly event, so they need people attending.

Plus, what better way to meet yours truly...... well except the penal system, but this saves you from having to commit a crime and try to get a cell near me.

I really don't know that much, I just attended a luncheon Sun. where they were discussing last minute details.

I'll have Lady Sage post all the details.

Well...obviously I'm not going to make it. (unless my company's Twinsburg operation begs for help again, at around that time :) ) But it sounds...interesting.
I shall expect a full report, upon completion of the event, along with pictures.

More like 4. I have made it from Canton to Batavia in 4 doing the speed limit.

Yes, medieval games, a childrens area, workshops, drum circles, vendors, readers, rituals, free food and door prizes out the yin yang.

I have seen how select people can be over the creation of a new thread. I have vowed never to create one. It never even occured to me to announce the festival here. It's just kinda one of those... I have enough stress in my life than to have to worry about getting yelled at for starting a thread kinda things.

Were I not 10 1/2 hours away...

Mabon is the one pagan holiday I never really got. Can someone give some detail on what the signiticance is?

The festival is September 23rd not the 28th. Mabon is our harvest holiday... think of it as the pagan thanksgiving.

This event sounds like a truly fun time for everyone & thanks a bunch for posting it here on tfp! TFP still rocks!!! More info. would be appreciated.

After living in N. CA. for 16 years (and now back in N.E. Ohio - by choice BTW)... I would love to go to this event BIG TIME! Northern Ohio isn't as provincial as most people believe that it is.
