Sequels are never "half as good". Well...hardly ever.

Now, had they cast Alyson Hannigan as Elizabeth Swann, instead of Keira Knightley...well, now that'd be worth the price of admission and popcorn. Hell, maybe even a large coke, as well.

I think this one will be way better because it seems that Johnny Depp is taking the leading role. I think it looks to better than the first one.

Got to agree sequals are rarely as good as the original, yet alone better. So will have to wait to find out more, and read a review or two before making a decision on this one.

I'm a bit leery on this. It seems more like Pirate$$$ of the Caribbean. But I would probably check it out because Johnny Depp hasn't really done a horrible movie that I know of (or at least seen)

I trust you've never seen "Once Upon a Time in Mexico"?
Only Depp movie I've ever truely hated.
And I love Desperado.

***edit***
Oh yeah I look forward to PotC2 as well. It may suck because it's a sequel, but the 1st one wasn't that great either if you ignore Depp and Rush.

Second-ed. However I would still go and watch it. It didn't look like it would suck anyway.

OH Come ON!!

Depp: "Are you a Mexi-CAN, or a Mexi-CAN'T?"

Depp: "This is so good, I am going to go in the back and shoot the chef. That's what I do, I restore balance to this world..."

That second one I use all the time! "Hey Ben, how's the soup?"

BEN: "It is so good, I am going to have to kill the cook. Soup this good upsets the balance in this world."
