Damn you CBS!!!

I wish to express my outrage that CBS has pulled Threshold (read: cancelled).

It was a really good show.

Wasn't that the one with the meteor shower in the beginning and with the government trying to control the situation, and some wierd sci-fi storyline? Or was that Surface?

I think the problem is that it wasn't Lost. Sci-fi shows are victims of their own success recently. I with CBS would just play Battlestar Galactica.

I think that's Invasion on ABC after Lost (I havent seen surface no not sure what the plot is on that). I started watching that as well, pretty good show, not sure how long it will hold it's momentum.. I TiVo it and watch it on the weekend...

I think its Surface which I haven't watched. It along with Invasion and Threshold make up the triumvirate of 2005 alien invasion series. I watched three or four episodes of Invasion and got bored with it.

Threshold starts out with a weird alien crystal ship/probe/thing appearing to a small naval vessal on the ocean.

Both Surface and Invasion have been picked up for a full season.

I remember when people were just starting to talk about 'reality tv'. I hope science fiction is able to get a foothold, but not overdo it like reality tv. I miss Star Trek.

I like(d) all three shows, but they do all kind of step on each others toes.

Surface: Massive sea creatures of an unknown origin, that start out like cute little lizard-dogs are breeding at a massive rate and are killing people. The government and/or secret organizations try to cover it up.

Invasion: After a hurricane that had wierd lights in the sky, sea creatures of an unknown origin, appear and begin to infect/posess/replace people. The government and/or secret organizations try to cover it up.

Threshold: A crystal object appears in the sky over the ocean and emits a sound that infects people and either kills them or gives them super powers. The infected people try to infect others. A small government team investigates and tries to cover it up.

Well I guess Brent Spiner's looking for a job again. And I really liked Peter Dinklage (unfortunate name) - aka the little guy.

I was cursing CBS when they pre-empted The Amazing Race for the Country Music Awards two weeks ago. That was just wrong

well... interesting... I have all of threshold on the Tivo.. I don't start watching most new shows until mid season because I don't like wasting my time investing it into characters and stories that get cancelled.

I'll never be burned again by the likes of Nowhere Man or John Doe.
