Boondock Saints
I searched TFP v.4, but nothing.
I remember someone (or three) recommending this movie. I finally bought it. It is great. So many classic bits and quotes. Anyone remember who recommended this? I need to give them their deserved thanks! Don't be shy. http://www.theboondocksaints.com/

BEST MOVIE EVER PLAIN AND SIMPLE!!!!
This is by far my favorite movie of all time, the action scenes mixed with the dark comedy makes this a most own and a cult classic for sure!!!
You are really missing out on a lot though, if you haven't seen teh unrated/nc-17 version. I belive it is only availble in europe and japan(mayeb china). I know for a fact the one that is published by FOX and realesed here in teh states is very watered down and it detracts from the movie a lot. They edit out the Russian hotel scene, the diner scene whree rocco wastes those three guys, and much more. I recommended you guys try and download that version off E-mail or Kazza or whatever. Also I cant wait for the sequel and yes it better not suck.! |

I have the DVD...Highly excellent movie. Certainly makes you feel better about your own spot in life...and teaches you a valuable lesson about the "rule of thumb"

One of my all-time favorite movies... too bad no one really knows about it... those of you who say it is overrated must not live in the states... Everyone I ask is like "The boondock saints????" ... I originally bought 2 copies for $40 each when that was the only way to get them... have since bought the fox version with a couple deleted scenes... God I hope they eventually release the NC17... ALso, everyone (men and women) I have shown this too and recommended this to has actually really LOVED it...

Maveric, I had the DVD before any of these fanboys ever knew about the movie And my version of the DVD doesn't HAVE any features because it's an original print, before this whole craze.

No shit!? Overrated?!? I think Willem Dafoe is great in that movie. It's always nice to talk about this movie with others on TFP, becuase most of my friends have never even heard of it.
I cna't wait till the second one comes out. |

I thought I had seen this but after going to the webpage realized that I have not.
Speaking of Irish killers. Has anyone seen the Krays based on a true story about a set of Irish twin brothers. The site goes to the actual Krays page and not the movie. Its a great movie though. Gonna chalk Boondock Saints on my to see list (just another fanboy)

Its my favorite movie...
When i worked at best buy as a cashier for a little over 6 months, anyone that brought up a tarintino movie or a guy richie movie, i pulled out a copy of it, and started talking to them about it, about 1/4 or so would buy it, one guy liked it so much, he came back the next day and raved up and down about it. All in all, ive yet to find anyone that hasnt like it. IF you havnt seen it GO GET IT. |

I love that movie. Period. I was at my friend's house doing homework on St. Patty's Day, and I suggested watching that movie, a perfect movie for the holiday. Ended up watching half of it before I had to walk home at like 2 am, tipsy from some green beer.
Sure, the movie's got its share of plotholes, some of which are quite blatant, but so what? It's a great movie, and so full of quotable lines. Rocco's joke as Ron Jeremy stands by, the whole cat thing and talking to the ladies in the wake of it, how the brothers have fun with Rocco when he shows up late, the rule of thumb, the porno club, the encounter on the street, and of course, one of the best monologues I've heard in a long time and one that I can't stop uttering, the courtroom speech. I'd put that speech right up with Atticus Finch's and the one from A Few Good Men as far as courtroom speeches go. The way the movie was directed, of showing the aftermath of various incidents and the police & Agent Smeckers' theories of what happened, and then showing what actually happened....that nonlinear format is a very convincing and well-conceived way of telling the story. I don't think it would've worked as well if the story had been straightforward and liner, like Die Hard or something. The Boondock Saints is the kind of movie you need to see at least twice to fully grasp and appreciate, kinda like The Usual Suspects. I love it, and that kickass soundtrack....almost makes me feel like riverdancing...
