How could we all forget "The Allnighter"?

I watched this POS on a date back in high school. I checked out the IMDB for a plot summary:

Molly, Val and Gina are graduating college, but on their final night, frustrations are aired. Molly is still looking for real love and Val is beginning to doubt if that is what she's found. Gina is too busy videotaping everything to really notice. When the final party at Pacifica College kicks off, things don't go exactly as planned.

Doesn't that just scream that wacky hijinks are going to ensue? They don't.

Susanna Hoffs (right, of the Bangles) stars in this crapfest and, surprise, it's written and directed by her mother.

While checking out the IMDB I found out Anchor Bay has put out The Allnighter Special Edition DVD with commentary from Susanna and her Mom. I'm enough of a gutton for punishment that I might ask for it for my birthday.

Worst movie ever? That’s kind of hard, but I think I have a good candidate. You see I have a friend that collects bad and horrible movies as a hobby. And once in a while he could talk a few of us to sitting down and watching one with him. He showed us this one film that as so bad I can’t believe it got made. Anyway I don’t remember the Title but it was one of those low budget black and white films. Basically the whole idea was aliens from outer space where coming to take over the Earth. So here is my list of things wrong with the film.
1. The acting- It was cheesy, and I mean really cheesy. The type of stuff drama instructors have nightmares about. From some people not being it able to talk properly to intense over acting.
2. Special effects- I know it’s an old movie but you can see the zipper on the alien suits. And you tell the suit is made of tin foil… I shouldn’t be seeing a string attached to the UFO when it’s flying also…
3. A dead actor- Okay let me clarify. The lead actor died before the film was finished and for some reason the role couldn’t be re-cast. So the studio used a cardboard cut to replace him in some scenes and dubbed his voice. I am not bullshitting here people… It was awful…

There are probably other things wrong but I can’t remember them right now…

dolemite175 I vote with you on Norseman. We saw it in a theatre. It was so bad we started talking back to the screen pretty soon the other 6 people in the theatre were sitting with us doing the same thing we had a great time. Seeing Lee Majors as a viking in sandals with tire tracks in the sand and airplanes flying over head just has to rank right up there.

Batman and Robin : Batman Forever was pretty crappy, but this one killed the franchise. "All right everyone.....chill!"

Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back : Aside from some Will Ferrell stuff it wan't funny at all.

Pearl Harbor : Way, way too long. Plus it was advertised as a war movie, when it was really just a Titanic clone.

Masters of the Universe : He-Man movie starring Dolph Lundgren. Poor Dolph couldn't speak english very well.

I can enjoy bad movies to a certain extent. Hackers and The Fast and the Furious are two of my favorite bad movies.

Worst movie ever though... really hard to say but along with a few others already mentioned in this thread, "The Pledge" comes to mind.

Ghosts of Mars has to be the worst movie I've ever seen. Watch it with a group of friends when you're either very very tired or very very drunk (or both) and you'll probably find it amusing, but other than that, avoid it like the plague.

oh no! not the pledge! why oh why did i have to see that movie? and as if the movie alone wasn't bad enough, they kept showing those damn birds for no reason!

luckily for me, the theatre sold guiness but they made you drink it outside the theatre, so i chugged it and then went in....

out of curiosity, did you see in while you were in america? nobody I know saw it in the states, only overseas. (i saw it w/ some friends while i was in japan)

The movie you are describing is the classic Ed Wood production 'Plan Nine From Outer Space', which is pretty much regarded by gourmands of bad movies to the worst.
However I tend to feel that a truely bad movie is one that has everything going for it and totally destoys itself.
'The Avengers' falls inot that catagory. Great people, good set pieces, awful movie.
'Batman & Robin' truely sucked.
'Cleopatra' had Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton, it was awful.

I'm not so sure... I think Prophecy may be thinking about a few different movies. I've seen Plan 9 more times than I care to admit, and the aliens wore space uniforms made of polyester or something, not tinfoil. What's more, they did get a stand-in for Bela Lugosi- it was Ed Wood's wife's chiropodist, who held his cape in front of his face in all his scenes. I don't remember him having any lines that would need dubbing, either. There were tombstones made of cardboard, however, and no contest on the crappy acting or UFO strings.

I totally agree about Batman & Robin, and Batman Forever for that matter. Warner Bros should take out a restraining order on Joel Schumacher, to keep him 500 feet from the Batman franchise.

Kull the Conqueror or Lost Highway? Mace in the face or pepper spray up the ass?
I am not the sharpest knife in the drawer, but Kull hurt my brain. Just too much stupid.

Lost Highway features Bill Pullman, who just cannot act. It also is about as pretentious as a non french movie can be. 4 hours of my life, 20 dollars of my money (with date).

During Kull I distinctly remember thinking "Hey, I could be flossing right now". The only good thing about the movie was that as an end result i better attended to my dental hygiene.

Quick Note:
There are multiple Crossroads, one with B.Spears, one with R Machio. B.Spears is probably the one people are panning. Though Ralph Machio as a bluesman is a bit of a stretch.

OK, Batman & Robin sucked ass.
So did Charlie's Angels and Tomb Raider.
I CAN NOT STAND those dumb ass movies where they do all this impossible stuff and stupid ass action scenes with no real purpose. That shit is unbearable.

For the record, I'm appalled that Monster's Ball was on this list. wtf? That movie has some kick ass acting in it. And its deep man. You gotta appreciate it.

After reading all the posts on this thread, Ive had to readjust my worst list simply because alot of the above mentioned movies were so bad, I had completely blocked them from memory. But i'll try a small list:

Hercules in New York (didnt know anyone else had seen that one)
The Pledge (worst ending in the history of movies)
Cool As Ice (although the novelty of Vanilla Ice on screen almost saves it)
D&D (because of its complete refusal to come anywhere near the potential of the concept)
and anything with Robert Carradine in it (he made a slew of for video action movies that my dad used to bring home from the store every weekend instead of new releases, and they were god awful, each and every one)

Oh no, Red Dragon was far worse than Hannibal. Lecter was like an after thought in that movie, and it felt like it didnt even belong in the series, not to mention the crappy and obvious faked death of the killer near the end, like nobody saw that comin.
