Adam Carolla is leaving Loveline
With Howard Stern going to Sirius, Carolla is taking over the mornings on the west coast and won't be able do Loveline any longer.
For all those that like Ace Rockola at nights, sadly those nights are numbered. |

Yea i've known about it for a few months, too bad that show was the last thing i listened to before i went to sleep for a long time. It was bound to happen, I don't know if Dr.Drew will be able to carry the show by himself, and i think they'll have a hard time replacing Adam.

That is a shame, after so long of being on the show, but I guess you have to move on eventually... Loveline's a great show, it's helped a lot of people (or so I'd imagine), nice for kids to have a venue to get their questions answered. Hopefully Dr. Drew will be able to keep it going, find another co-host or whatnot.

I miss that show. My local station changed formats this past summer and I haven't heard it since.
I think the show can work without him. As funny as he was, he could also be annoying and disruptive when stuck on a rant or lame gag. There must be another comedian out there who fits the bill.

It was actually started at KROQ in LA, before it became syndicated, by a DJ named "Poorman..." but he pulled some stunt by getting a bunch of rowdy listeners to a monring DJ's house for his birthday and was fired...the details are sketchy. I think there was another guy after Poorman, and when Carolla was brought in they didn't get along....maybe 95 or 96? I usually enjoyed MR KFI back in those days....if anyone remembers him...so I might be a little off with the dates. I think he moved to KABC. Anyway, Dr. Drew has been there since the beginning, and his straight man professional act will be supplemented by a comic relief type, someone else I'm sure who is just as funny and interesting if not more so. I don't think love line is going anywhere....and definately isn't/wasn't/won't be about the clown playing off of Drew's sage advice. -bear

I love his show, I still listen in every now and again. Man, that really sucks big time.
