Late Night w/ Adam Corolla is the worst show on TV ever
Just turn it on right now and watch him choke for an hour...

Yeah. He doesn't quite have the OOMPH by himself. He was GREAT with Jimmy Kimmel on The Man Show, and he's fantastic with Dr. Drew on Loveline, but he's not all that good by himself.

i never liked the man show. i think corolla is funnier without a script. i've only seen the new show twice, but i didn't think it was that bad. that david spade show, based on 10 minutes of viewing, is worse. so is everything on the networks, vh1, fuse, and most of e!, mtv and mtv2. that said, adam may not last too long. maybe they shouldn't have gone for daily episodes.

His delivery makes me embarassed for him. He'll tell a joke and sit and smile for a little bit like he is waiting for SOMEONE in the studio audience to laugh. When no one laughs he just throws on that big grin that says "Man, I am really tanking right now."
I'd love to type more but my left shift key is broken and it is such a pain in the ass to adjust.

Adam's pretty funny but it is kind of an awkward situation without an audience just because I'm so used to it. Whenever he was interviewing Carlos Mencia last night, Carlos was laughing histerically though if that counts ...

It's a horrible show. Right up there with Blue Collar TV and Mind of Mencia.
Spade's show worse? It's not a great show, it has plenty of filler, but it's far better than those three. You may have seen 10 minutes of the filler.

maybe so...i dislike celebrity shows in general, but maybe it's okay.
i guess the only thing appealing about corolla's show is the inherent crappiness. not many laughs at first, now apparently there is no audience. it reminds me of the first seasons of conan. it's definitely not as off the wall, but it feels like it shouldn't be on TV. |

Ugh. Mencia reminds me of my really loud sophomore-year roommate. Except that my roommate was occasionally funny.
Mencia just goes the obnoxious route and hopes that it'll be funny. He hopes in vain.

The only thing I've ever seen on the show that was even mildly amusing was Steve-O thrashing the set, and even that got old quickly.
It's a terrible show, and I've only watched maybe 2 episodes, but I wouldn't say it's the worst show on TV. |

actually Adam is a avid car enthusiast he owns that car and a few others, I think the Z is one of his favorites, as far as I know he had it before the show was shot. That is too say he actually likes the car, but even if it was an advertisement the 350Z is a very good car.

you can't really expect any of these shows (Too Late with Adam, Mind of Mencia, Weekends at the DL, Hollywood whatever with Spade) to be any good. Comedy Central is just desperately grabbing at concepts to fill the gaping hole left by the loss of the Chappelle Show. They are taking anyone and everyone in hopes that someone will come up with a hit that can come anywhere near to what Chappelle created.

Chappelle was no better then the others you had listed. If anything it was even less funny.

hate to tell ya this, but millions of viewers around the states disagree with you. Regardless of if you are right or wrong about the show, there were enough of us humorless people watching to make the show a huge hit. So when they lost the show because Chappelle wigged out, it created a hole in their lineup that they are desperate to fill.

There's definately something missing from Late Night w/ Adam. I really think there's a lot of potential, he just needs a sidekick and a studio audience. I like Adam because he has his own views that are different from a lot of hollywood. I find him saying stuff that I agree with and I know no other talk show host would say.

Entertainers are supposed to entertain. I don't even think Adam is entertaining himself, let alone anyone else. I've never not laughed so hard. He needs to go read some good funny books and take some classes. Being funny can take a real effort for some people.

My biggest beef with the show is he goes off on wierd tangents about absolutely nothing. I think he's a funny guy, but he talks about the most random things, and he'll stay talking about it for way too long.
As for the other shows, I think Mencia is ok but lacks material, dave spades show is ok but rely's on celebrity gossup which I care nothing about, and I sort of like DL Hughleys show. My favorite is The Colbert Report, it's sort of childish at times but I think its hilarious.

The show is painful to watch, but I'm grateful to Adam Carolla...I'm going to bed earlier and feeling much more refreshed in the morning.
I miss Chapelle.
