My Name is Earl
who watched!!
I did and I have to say I thought it was pretty funny if you get past the Me, Myself and Irene beginnin and the fact that I cant watch that girl who plays his ex wife without hearing her in Joe Dirt "Im you're sister, Im you're sister" I think my favorite line in the show this week was from the daytime hooker "I even pulled out my good boob!!" I will definately watch again next week.

Shit! On NBC, right? Like I said, if I'd paid attention to the commercials during The Biggest Loser (I swear I was playing my PSP, and not actually watching the show), I probably would have seen/heard them say something about it coming on next.
I hope they re-show it soon, and now that I know when it's regularly on I can actually watch the rest of the season. |

Finally, Jason Lee has a showcase for his talent. It kinda reminded me of Scrubs, in that it was well written, funny, and poignant at the same time.
Wow, Ethan Suplee has ;ost a lot of wait since I last saw him.

My favorite parts were Spoiler: what Earl ended up buying first with his new money (car alarm w/remote-control, for his raggedy-ass El Camino), and when Randy Spoiler: gets clocked with the phone by Earl's ex.
Oh yes, Randy's beer limit is 4 beers!

The show was excellent.
Earl in a trailer, robbing people, two kids; neither his, a cheating wife... I laughed for 10 minutes straight. I imagine it's because I know people like that and...well, I'm kind of a dick. [karma]...straight from Carson Daly's mouth to my morphine laced ears.

I'm scared to keep watching this show. The first episode was great and set things up so perfectly, I now have high expectations that I'm afraid won't be fulfilled. I think the concept is great and the characters fit so well with it... if they were anything other than complete hicks, this show would be completely lame.
Can't wait for next Tuesday! |

I loved it, thought it was all around hilarious. Hopefully I can remember it's spot, it's refreshing to watch something non-reality.
Also anybody notice how much weight Randy had lost? Come along way since his enforcer role on boy meets world, or more importantly since his role on American History X.

I had first heard about this show from an 76 year old guy that I work with and then forgot about it. Then reading this thread I decided to get the show and watch it. I have to say I was really impressed. I just hope, since they set the bar so high with the first show, that they can keep up the same quality level.

I was so relieved when I watched this... because it was damned funny. I was worried that they put Jason Lee into a shitcan, but this was lots of fun, and I actually giggled out loud.

This show was so much better than it had any right to be. I really figured it wouldn't live up to the hype, but I was wrong. I laughed out loud quite a few times. (I'm SO happy there's no laugh track.) Jason Lee is a fantastic actor. Hopefully the rest of the season will be just as good. I think they can get a lot of mileage out of the show's premise.

I was really surprised by the third episode. The second one wasn't as good as the first, so I thought the show would keep going downhill, but I was wrong about that.
Having Joy (his ex-wife) get hit by the dark side of Karma for what she did was a great idea, I hope they can keep that type of stuff up throughout the series. |
