Last night's episode was good.

Kate's crime flows nicely into my redemption theory. Her crime while bad was for a good reason. She saved her Mother from beatings and herself from abuse (I don't believe her when she says he didn't touch her nor when she says she did it because Wayne was in her... I don't think she was being honest).

Nice to see Sawyer up and around again.

The Kiss was so laden with irony... Kate, who has feelings for Jack and Sawyer (the good and the bad) freaks when she realizes she is kissing Jack. Jack, who's inability to get close to people and his guilt over his wife, freaks out because Kate is representing both of those in his face... Everyone on this show is so fucked up.

Locke and Eko continue to bond. There is more to the film that what was found. Someone is definately fucking with them.

i loved the episode last night... i almost wwant to watch lost like i do 24, one season behind so i can rent the dvd's and keep wathing episode to episode...

did anyone else notice the trainers hand in the scene when sawyer and kate saw the horse? I'd post a screenshot but I'm not sure how to take one from a video clip. I'm guessing it was a trainer and a mistake but it could have been something else? Anyway it is on the right side of the screen in the widescreen hdtv version.

The theory, again, is that the survivors are all good people who have done some bad things.

Survivors that are innocent, were removed by the Others and those that are irredeemable have been killed.

It's all part of some experiment gone screwy.

So by your theory, does that mean that the majority of people from the front end of the plane need redemption? Because the Others have only kidnapped claire and walt from the front end survivors and they only sent Ethan to do it. (Charlie really only got taken because he was with Claire) So in your opinion, is an assault on the beach from the others impending where they do take some people from the front end?

I think the fact that front end people have guns has forced them to change their plans a bit.

There will be another attack and not everyone will get out unscathed.

Of course it's all just speculation...

Now why would he do that if there wasn't something wrong with the baby? And remember the look of panic on his face during the first reading? I just got the impression that the kid is evil and that Claire is the only one who can raise it to be good.. :hmm:

i'm inclined to believe that somehow the baby is naturally evil, based on the reactions of the psychic...

After watching the "recap" episode, one question came to mind. If Bernard was in the crapper when the plane came apart, how did he wind up in a regular seat when he was dangling from the tree?

Eko's backstory was good. It explains him for the most part, but I feel there's more there (why was he in Australia?). Him finding his brother in that plane (and it being his heroin) didn't surprise me that much. Nothing surprises me on the island anymore hehe.

It looks like that black smoke examined Eko and found him worthy.. or something.

That black smoke shit almost single handedly ruined Lost for me entirely. I mean, every other thing on the whole Island has had some sort of rational, realistic explanation behind it. Yes there are some far fetched things... but COME ON!!!

I am severely disappointed with this black smoke plotline. How will they ever rationalize it....

I truly hope that this isn't the direction they're thinking of taking with Lost...

I'm still wondering how a small plane like that leaves Nigeria and ends up crashed on an island supposedly in the South Pacific... I have to say Mr. Eko's backstory was one of the better ones they've had.

Next weeks previews looks like we get more of Michael running through the jungle screaming "Jake!!" again, but this time he'll be armed!!

That was a kick ass episode pretty much from start to finish. I've been thinking Eko was pretty bad-ass (plus I think the actor is great - he was great in OZ) but this episode removed all doubt.

He also falls smack dab into my theory that they are all on the island for some sort of redemption. He's a very bad man with a very conflicted soul.

Plus... I'd like to see Locke try to stare down the black smoke thing. Like I said, bad ass.

Id have to agree with everyone, Mr. Eko is badass. That was pretty intense when he stared down the black smoke. I got two questions, why was Jack so surprised to hear Anna Lucia's name, and why is Charlie collecting virgin mary statues.

Jack met Anna Lucia in the airport before they boarded the plane. They had drinks together.

The statues have heroin in them. Charlie is a recovering heroin addict.
