What TV Series Movie is Next?

With the current infatuation for turning old TV series into movies can the $6 Million Man be far from the silver screen?

What else is a likely TV Series to movie remake?

6 million wouldn't buy a pinkie these days.

"24" would be a cool movie, but who would watch a 24 hour movie?

Uhmm.....a "Simpsons" feature film would be cool. I'm suprised they never made one.

Well, I know that they're making an Aqua Teen Hunger Force movie, which would hopefully be as good as the show is. I've been a fan of ATHF since I happened to catch it during the first season, so a movie is good to me. Although, I wonder how well it would translate to a movie, since it's normally a 15 minute show, but we'll see, I guess.

Captain Planet?

Actually there is a Simpson's movie being developed.... it has been "in development" for years though.

I think a 2 hour reunion whether TV or feature or DVD of the Bundy's and Married With Children would be the greatest thing in enetertainment since...... well since the original show.

Some of you are not that far off them mark. A 24 movie has been greenlit and the 6 million dollar man is allegedly starring Jim Carrey

Hmmm, it'll probably be a big pile of crappity crap crap whatever they make, Hollywood isn't exactly doing marvelous (excusing the pun) things at the moment.

Supposedly Jim Carrey is going to play in the new one, which is rumored to be a funnier, version of the original.

Well, they could always make a spinoff movie with the same actors and characters from the tv shows playing their usual roles. I wonder what other scenarios they could explore for a plot though....

IIRC, there was a 15[?]th year anniversary of the show a year or two ago. It was about an hour long, consisted of some interviews, how the show developed, and it was pretty decent.

As for any suggestions....I don't know of any. The only TV contemporary shows [not in syndication/reruns] that I watch is daily show, simpsons, and some PBS/C-Span.

Come on, you know you would all watch a "Full House" movie.

About the only thing that hasn't been done that needs to be is "The Archie's", but Hollywood would fuck that up as well and put Will Smith as the lead or something.

It was a decent show, but they need a movie not just interviews and reminisences...... maybe have Bud (who works as Al's boss at the shoestore) married living in the basement, Kelly divorced, with kids and living at home with Al and Peggy. Have Marcy and Jefferson seperated with Jefferson living in the Bundy's garage.

And Al spending the movie trying to get everyone gone so he can watch a "Psycho Dad" reunion special.

And at the end just as he has everyone out and we hear the "Psycho Dad" theme..... Fox pre-empts it for a 90210 or Temptation Island reunion.....

With the right writers that would be hilarious.

Or maybe have the Bundys and D'Arcy's competing on a reality show all living together on a deserted island.

No big special to do, just make it a big 2 hour episode type deal.

Well, I gotta say, what is sure to be the only decent tv-to-movie adaptation in...uh...um, a really long time, Serenity baby!

It's the show Firefly, which Fox murderalized a couple years ago, that is getting a second chance as a movie, coming out on the 30th.

I admit, I'm dying to see this one.

How about <b> Misfits of Science</b>? I barely remember the actual content of the show, but I really enjoyed it at the time. I was pissed when it was prematurely cancelled. To me, this qualifies for a remake!

Of course, It's only a matter of time before <b>CSI</b> or <b>Law and Order</b> become movies. After all, they're really just brands that can be pasted onto any old cast or script.

<i>Minor threadjack regarding Quantum Leap:</i>
