Sopranos extended for another season
Just saw this and didn't see any threads about this, so I figured I'd start one.
While there's still about 7 more months to wait for the 6th season of The Sopranos (12 episodes long) to start, HBO made a deal to extend the show for one more season of 8 more episodes (as opposed to ending the show's run with the 6th season's conclusion as had been originally planned). Wow, that's great news. When I heard The Sopranos will go off air for a season I though it's going to be too long. And here I am, just 6 months to go with more in store. HBO likes to kill of main characters and I'm pretty sure someone will have to go. Personally, I think it's going to be the boy ;).

Not bad for a show that was supposed to run just a single season,.. not to mention ended up on HBO when at least one network passed on it.
I find this to be great news, this was the show that goty my wife into HBO series. PS I also had a cat I named AJ |
I hope it is great news. Sadly the last few seasons nothing seems to happen, and seems to drag. But I am still a fan, and hope for the best!

Oh man! Awesome!
I love the Sopranos soooo much... |
At this point, I really don't care all that much.
I watch the Sopranos religiously, but after the extended waiting, the shortened season, and the horribly, horribly slow writing these last two years, I just can't get excited by another season. I mean, I'll watch it, but I'm not going to be on the edge of my seat waiting for it. |
they were shooting a couple of weeks ago around the corner from where I live.. and the 'stars' were all hanging out in the local diner... sadly, I was out of town :(
It's good business when they shoot... |

I'm a huge fan, but with the recent eons between seasons, it becomes somewhat anticlimactic. That is, until about a week before the new season launches. |

I'm with some of the others, I love the show and I'll watch but with the incredibly long breaks between seasons my anticipation level has really dropped. Originally everything stopped when The Sopranos came on but now if I catch it great, if I don't I'll eventually see a re-run.

This is great news. Since I only started watching it on DVD about 1.5 years ago (and only got HBO about 4 months ago), I haven't been through the seasonal breaks. I don't know where in the series I currently am, but thats fine. 95% of the episodes are good so far. That Paulie fella is a piece of work. One of the best shows on TV ever.
