My DVD Collection via DVD Spot

Anyone else heard of this site? Its great. It allows you to catalogue your dvd collection, rate them, and share it with others. It would be cool to see which movies everyone on here has, so make your collection and post it here.
Anyways, here's mine!

I have started to play with it -- it's interesting- -especially the dollar value that they put on the collection... That's entirely too much money I've spend on DVD's... - though the Loaned concept is interesting...

Neat site...

Not bad. Nice they have the export feature. I'd hate to go through this more than once. Still working on it...

Mal, now that you mention it, the MSRP thing doesn't seem like such a good idea. It could easily bump some of us out of an addiction.

if you look at the statistics page, it's actually kinda cool, based on all the dvds you own, it will tell you who the most common actor is, the producer etc... all i know is I own way too much sex and the city, it's killing my averages.

I noticed my old "club" purchases have really skewed my numbers. A kind of screwy Pop Culture. Have to keep working. Maybe it's salvageable. Then to figure out how to disable the MSRP feature...

They have a mass import method. You just put the DVD titles in a text file and upload it. Then you confirm which version you have and if it can't find it you can manually search it and it'll enter it.

This goes to an old thread that used DVD Afficinado to catalogue movies. It seems to be a lot easier than this sight.

where is the list on the site.. I can't find it.

I am just adding movies by clicking them from other people's lists.

If there's a master list- I didn't find one- for the amount of DVDs I had, just finding them was easier...

At the top right of every (I think) page is a search box. Enter some part of the title, hit enter, and then pick the closest fit. Once you're in search mode the larger search box appears top center, from where you can search by actors, directors, etc.

I found it easier to use the import tool. You can find it by clicking on manage membership after you log on, then click on import from file. There is a complete set of instructions and it's pretty easy.

Glad to see somebody else had Bruce Campbell on their favorite actors stat.
My Bruce Campbell collection is still growing. Had lots of his rarer movies on VHS but I don't even own a working VCR anymore...

Am I the only one left debting whether to add my rather sizable collection of video cassettes? For that matter, am I the only one who still has a rather sizable collection of video cassettes?

Well, here's what I have so far.

http://www.dvdspot.com/member=Martian

It'd take way too long to put in all of the movies I've watched, although I might get around to it eventually. I'd be adding more movies than not that way.
