I was disappointed in this moive. Not that the topic left it open to ground breaking dialogue but it felt like it was only a 45min movie and 3 pilots seemed to be carbon copy images from previous fighter pilot movies. Jamie Foxx was a real let down, from Oscar winner to fighter pilot. It worked for Will Smith but not for you Mr. Foxx.
The UPside, the special effects were really great and the dog fights were okay. It isnt much to go on...what was everyone else's opinions |

I liked it sure it's not four stars but it was entertaining.. the ending though all I could think about was that they just blew up and killed a bunch of S. Korea guys but they're going to walk right through the gate and ask for asylum?
Jessica Biel though was looking pretty badass though for sure. |

A note about Foxx: he filmed this movie before he won the Oscar, so it's understandable that he would do it.

I saw it at the matinee show and it was amusing - it's not worth the evening price of movies around here (10$ or so), but for fairly cheap, it's a laugh. It's no Top Gun - both with respect to how realistic the planes act (and everything else), but it's entertaining.

Yeah, Hollywood can't come up with original scripts. They're all remakes, or books, or stolen from other movie. The Island is from a movie called Clones. I think the only original screenplays this year have been Star Wars III (Original is about the only good thing you could say...) and Madagascar (Which was frickin' HILARIOUS).

That comic RULES!!!
I knew this movie was going to be a crap fest. So I came prepared by bringing only my best MST3K friends to yell various comments about SkyNet, HAL9000, and Bender. I think the best one, "Whoa! Whoa! Whoa, Ben [Josh Lucas' character, I forgot too], I thought we had something... you said you loved me! And you want to bring that bitch in here!" Or "Sure, the multibillion dollar computer can download music, but I get my ass grilled by the RIAA for sampling Nightwish? Screw these guys, I'm building my own AI... with Blackjack ... and Hookers! And forget the Blackjack! And AI... Eh screw the whole damned thing." |

Yeah, I'll be skipping this one as well. From what I saw of the previews the movie looked pretty bad. A plane that becomes self aware from a lightning strike and then turns evil! Sigh.

It wasn't that bad. I know some of you people out there like to bash movies for the sake of making yourselves feel smarter, fine I can live with that. But for those of us out there that just want to go be entertained for ~2 hours it was a good flick. When I went to see this movie i knew i wasnt going to see an oscar winner, and I wasn't dissapointed. What I saw was decent acting, great effects, cheesy love side-story line, and a lot of action. Your basic summer action flick, and I liked it.

I don't know what you all mean. This wasn't a movie...It was a film. It was art. I would venture to guess that this was the greatest thing created by man in the history of the world. Period.
Uncultured swine.
