Your Top 10 TV Shows still airing
By "still airing", I mean shows that haven't completely ended their run on TV (like Oz). I'm curious to see what other shows people who like my shows like. Your top 10 doesn't need to be ranked in any preferential order.
My Top 10: Nip/Tuck Six Feet Under Deadwood Curb Your Enthusiasm Arrested Development Sopranos Entourage 24 Lost Scrubs (just watched the first 7 episodes and love it; guess this would bump South Park from my top 10) Hon. Mentions: South Park Monk (had to edit and move this off the top 10 and put South Park, which slipped my mind, on it). The Shield (but I've missed the past two seasons) Carnivale (missed the 2nd season) Late Night with Conan O'Brien CSI (entertaining, but it's got some cheesy moments/one-liners; stories are kinda convoluted sometimes too) Simpsons (quality has dropped off in recent years) Family Guy (damn funny, but I'm a new convert and haven't seen a whole lot of episodes yet) City Confidential

Okay, lets see...
Doctor Who Amazing Race Medium Simpsons Arrested Development Malcom In The Middle Frontline Nova CBS Sunday Morning Sopranos Six Feet Under My guilty pleasure is watching Monster Garage, American Chopper and the like. They're really cheesy and I find all that phony machismo grating, but I just can't turn away.

add in Antiques Roadshow,
though the shows are getting predictable now.. the earlier seasons the suprise element was there... I will never forget the episose where I guy brought in a framed piece of embroidery.. It had been left in the garage when he moved into his house and he was going to throw it out... Turns out it was a piece of 'folk art' from the 1800's and was worth something obscene like 100,000 dollars...

i'm down to watching TV a couple times a month... so this list is probably pretty lame. it may even include shows recently canceled.
Simpsons - more of a legacy thing, recent episodes are lame. Family Guy - Still get a laugh King of the Hill - still lovin' the animated sitcoms Reno 911 - cracks me up Battlestar Galactica - the only thing i can watch on scifi Curb your Enthusiasm - Is this thing still airing new episodes? Malcolm the Middle - seen it a couple times, usually funny Brit Hume's show on FNC - I forget the name, but Brit Hume gives the most sober news analysis on TV The Daily Show - great if you realize they aren't kidding about delivering fake news National Geographic Explorer - usually well-produced/interesting

Wow. I can't even think of ten programs I watch regularly, regardless of whether they are reruns or not.
I think my list would contain: King of the Hill That 70's Show Law and Order 7th Heaven (I'm such a cheeseball) That's it. I don't watch much TV.

Battlestar Gallactica Stargate: SG1 These are the only shows that I am currently watching out of syndication. Everything else I watch is random although the following feature prominently but only because they are on when I am likely to be watching TV (i.e. right around bedtime): Furturama, Family Guy, random HGTV Canada shows, random MuchMoreMusic shows (most of which don't really qualify but should illustrate how little I plan when watching TV)

Trailer Park Boys - I think it's been deemed too offensive for HBO so not too many folks outside of Canada have gotten to see it.
Mythbusters The Amazing Race Chappelle's Show - Whenever the next season starts... The Simpsons - Although the quality has plummetted since Conan O'Brien left the show, which leads to... Late Night With Conan O'Brien - I can't wait 'til he gets Jay Leno's time slot. Arrested Development - Did it get picked up for another season? Hockey Night in Canada - Which'll be back soon... Iron Chef America Licence To Grill - A locally-filmed cooking show that I may have a chance to appear on in the nead future. |
