Your Top 10 TV Shows still airing
By "still airing", I mean shows that haven't completely ended their run on TV (like Oz). I'm curious to see what other shows people who like my shows like. Your top 10 doesn't need to be ranked in any preferential order.
My Top 10: Nip/Tuck Six Feet Under Deadwood Curb Your Enthusiasm Arrested Development Sopranos Entourage 24 Lost Scrubs (just watched the first 7 episodes and love it; guess this would bump South Park from my top 10) Hon. Mentions: South Park Monk (had to edit and move this off the top 10 and put South Park, which slipped my mind, on it). The Shield (but I've missed the past two seasons) Carnivale (missed the 2nd season) Late Night with Conan O'Brien CSI (entertaining, but it's got some cheesy moments/one-liners; stories are kinda convoluted sometimes too) Simpsons (quality has dropped off in recent years) Family Guy (damn funny, but I'm a new convert and haven't seen a whole lot of episodes yet) City Confidential |
In no particular order:
The Simpsons Family Guy House, M.D. CSI Survivor Amazing Race Law & Order: SVU South Park Sportscenter Trading Spaces I know, I'm all over the map |
Monk
24 Survivor Amazing Race Big Brother CSI House Grey's Anatomy Sportscenter Desparate Housewives |
I dont have 10 but I will list what we watch religiously (in no particular order)
CSI Survivor Who's Wedding is it anyway Bridezillas Cold Case Files Notorious Cash in the Attic |
The Shield
Rescue Me Family Guy Myth Busters Law & Order: SVU World Poker Tour (Does that count?) Cosmic Odyssey Aqua Teen Hunger Force Harvey Birdman: Attorney at Law Family Business |
Hmm hard one:
Shield Huff Boston Legal (can you believe shatner is funny! me neither) Desperate housewives Family guy Law & Order (SVU, i liked the original, but hate the new detectives now) Simpsons Entourage Sopranos (not sure if it counts since it hasn't been on in forever) South park |
Gilmore Girls
The Dead Zone The 4400 CSI Monk Law and Order SVU Law and Order CI Super Nanny Without a Trace House |
The West Wing (though this season has majorly tanked)
pretty much anything on the food network (except paula dean because she drives me crazy the way she talks with her mouth full) Law and Order, SVU Without a Trace (I think that's still on) House (the episodes I've seen are quite good) Sportscenter |
Family Guy
Wonder Showzen The Simpsons Degrassi Gilmore Girls ...thats about all the shows i watch whenever, im not a big TV person |
The Simpsons
Family Guy The Chapelle Show South Park American Dad 24 Thats all I can think of. |
I havfta go with
24 Deadwood Sopranos Lost The Amazing Race Survivor Entourage CSI Six Feet Under Arrested Development That's a list I can live with |
Okay, lets see...
Doctor Who Amazing Race Medium Simpsons Arrested Development Malcom In The Middle Frontline Nova CBS Sunday Morning Sopranos Six Feet Under My guilty pleasure is watching Monster Garage, American Chopper and the like. They're really cheesy and I find all that phony machismo grating, but I just can't turn away. |
add in Antiques Roadshow,
though the shows are getting predictable now.. the earlier seasons the suprise element was there... I will never forget the episose where I guy brought in a framed piece of embroidery.. It had been left in the garage when he moved into his house and he was going to throw it out... Turns out it was a piece of 'folk art' from the 1800's and was worth something obscene like 100,000 dollars... |
CSI would be the only thing I watch that is a TV show...... unless you want to count Wendys Friday Night CFL Football. Other than CSI, I watch the CFL, so there we go.
|
i'm down to watching TV a couple times a month... so this list is probably pretty lame. it may even include shows recently canceled.
Simpsons - more of a legacy thing, recent episodes are lame. Family Guy - Still get a laugh King of the Hill - still lovin' the animated sitcoms Reno 911 - cracks me up Battlestar Galactica - the only thing i can watch on scifi Curb your Enthusiasm - Is this thing still airing new episodes? Malcolm the Middle - seen it a couple times, usually funny Brit Hume's show on FNC - I forget the name, but Brit Hume gives the most sober news analysis on TV The Daily Show - great if you realize they aren't kidding about delivering fake news National Geographic Explorer - usually well-produced/interesting |

Washington Journal is probably the best
Daily Show funny at times, but bush bashing is so 2004 (and lazy comedy writing?) Subterranean has a good video once in a while Wondershowzen (renewed?)/Stankervision has decent off-color humor OLN's Tour de France coverage the rest are on HBO and i haven't seen them |
The Daily Show
Mind of Mencia Family Guy American Dad That's all. |
Monk
Simpsons King of the Hill Malcolm in the Middle Monday Night Raw/ Smackdown Thursday (so I'm a WWE mark..... sue me) Lingo (on the Game Show Network) SG1 E: True Hollywood Story (have to get my gossip fix) FSN cleveland Indians baseball coverage Family Guy |
Wow. I can't even think of ten programs I watch regularly, regardless of whether they are reruns or not.
I think my list would contain: King of the Hill That 70's Show Law and Order 7th Heaven (I'm such a cheeseball) That's it. I don't watch much TV. |

Simpsons
Family Guy Myth Busters 24 Lost CSI Battlestar Galatica House The Chapelle Show Survivor  |
I don't have a top ten. I watch too much TV as it is. I watch these regularly:
Arrested Development Lost Monk Amazing Race |
Lost
Battlestar Gallactica Stargate: SG1 These are the only shows that I am currently watching out of syndication. Everything else I watch is random although the following feature prominently but only because they are on when I am likely to be watching TV (i.e. right around bedtime): Furturama, Family Guy, random HGTV Canada shows, random MuchMoreMusic shows (most of which don't really qualify but should illustrate how little I plan when watching TV) |
Battlestar Galatica
Lost MI-5 (British import shown on A&E. I think they released season 1 on DVD) Deadwood Robot Chicken Veronica Mars This Old House New Yankee Workshop Simpsons South Park |
Lost
Scrubs West Wing The O.C. The Sopranos Arrested Development Family Guy Robot Chicken Dead Like Me (if it comes back) Simpsons |
I couldn't name ten tv shows, as I don't watch that much tv. So here's a sort of sampler.
Mythbusters Rescue Me The Daily Show Family Guy Monday Report And umm.. yeah. That's it. |
House, MD is really the only show I feel compelled to watch on a regular basis.
I also enjoy watching Food Network, especially Good Eats. |
Sportscenter
60 Minutes House Sopranos (I guess it'll be back) Simpsons CSI Law and Order The 4:00 football game in the fall Some local real estate show that's on every Sunday morning during breakfast |
Trailer Park Boys - I think it's been deemed too offensive for HBO so not too many folks outside of Canada have gotten to see it.
Mythbusters The Amazing Race Chappelle's Show - Whenever the next season starts... The Simpsons - Although the quality has plummetted since Conan O'Brien left the show, which leads to... Late Night With Conan O'Brien - I can't wait 'til he gets Jay Leno's time slot. Arrested Development - Did it get picked up for another season? Hockey Night in Canada - Which'll be back soon... Iron Chef America Licence To Grill - A locally-filmed cooking show that I may have a chance to appear on in the nead future. |
Wow, on some of those lists I've never even heard of half the shows listed.
My list: Carnivale Battlestar Galactica Justice League Unlimited (has gotten better every season). 24 Lost Monk |
Scrubs
Grey's Anatomy King of Queens West Wing (we'll see how it goes after the election...) Sports Center Lost Sopranos (I'm 1 season behind cuz I rent them...) Animal Planets "That's My Baby" - it always puts me in a good mood! NOVA |
boy meets world
|
In no particular order:
Law & Order SVU Deadwood Battlestar Galactica The 4400 The Daily Show w/Jon Stewart Monster House Celebrity Fit Club (Willie Ames, Gary Busey, and Jackee' among other dysfuntional celebs being denied food and forced to work out? - PRICELESS!) King of Queens Stargte SG1 (though the new season has thus far left me disappointed) Stargate Atlantis |
There is nothing on the tube that is worth planning an evening around. That said, I will watch, if it's convenient:
Simpsons Gilmore Girls Scrubs Mythbusters Daily Show |
The West Wing
Sportscenter Baseball tonight Daily Show Family Guy American Dad(I guess) American Choppers Mythbusters Hardball Some of these are a reach, the only ones I actually watch with regularity are Sportscenter and BBTN |
Family Guy
Battlestar Galactica Coupling (although there's no offical word yet of a new season) Lost The Daily Show Scrubs Survivor Mythbusters Grey's Anatomy Stargate SG1 I really only watch the first four on a regular basis |
