Kevin Hagen, veteran of Westerns, was 77 Quote:
this saddens me greatly......I was, actually still am, a HUGE Little House fan....it comes on the Hallmark channel 4 times a day during the week, so when Im home Im always watching it. Its one of those shows that if I flip thru and its on I watch, I dont care if its an episode I've seen a hundred times. (go ahead and make fun of me I dont mind  ) I was actually watching yesterday wondering what ever happened to him. He's now with Mr. Edwards (Victor French) and Pa (Michael Landon). RIP "Doc" |
Yep, he was a good actor.
I liked it when I would realise who it is I'm looking at in an early appearance of his in a Western and think, "Hey, it's Doc Baker!". :) He usually played the complete opposite of his Little House role. It was a good contrast to see. R.I.P., Doc. :( |
I knew there would be at least ONE person here who would care....shame on the rest of you

I missed it. :(
Little House was always one of my favorite television shows. I'm not big into Westerns. So, unfortunately, the only thing that I recall Kevin Hagen from, other than Little House, is Shenandoah. (Civil War, y'know ;) ) I think he played a Confederate deserter. I think he'll always be just Doc Baker, to me. |
I love Little House. I'm not ashamed, and I don't care if people make fun of me. It's a good show that I can watch with my little boy and not worry about him hearing cuss words and whatnot.
I never watched westerns, so I only know him as Doc Baker. RIP, Doc!!! |
Yes I saw in the paper that he had died and had a bit of a moment myself. I loved little house and still watch it to this day. My high school girlfriend and I used to watch it every day at 4:00 after school. She was a big fan and I enjoyed it as well. Lots of good memories. BTW, in addition to being in many Westerns Kevin Hagen was also in an episode of "The Twilight Zone".

Awwwww. :( I always loved him as Doc Baker on Little House on the Prairie. I grew up on that show and could never figure out why he couldn't be my doctor. Things we think when we are kids. I still watch LH every now and again on the Hallmark Channel. I also recently saw an episode of M*A*S*H* in which he made an appearance. I have never seen any westerns that he was in, though. I will miss him as an actor.
