So, I've stuck with it and am enjoying the show. I just watched "War Stories" off of Sci-Fi Network, and I'm pissed off about something.
The show was rated PG-14 / DSV, if I recall correctly. Coming out of one of the commercials, they had an additional warning of content that may not be appropriate for the younger viewers, which is the first time I've seen that warning. So, which scene was it? Was it the nameless torture victim at the beginning with knife wounds all over him? The electrocution torture? The ear getting cut off? The gunfight? No, it was two girls kissing. God, this country pisses me off sometimes. "I'll be in my bunk." |
Oooooooh. I had been wondering the same thing, too. I've seen that episode many times, but always on DVD, never on TV before, so the warning was new to me. I could NOT figure it out. Good catch, Redlemon.
It's funny, it honestly didn't even occur to me that the lesbian kiss - which was superduper tame, I mean, the shit on Girls Gone Wild commercials do way, way more - could be cause for the warning at that time. I mean, later in the episode there's repeated scenes of torture, mutilation, shooting violence, and violent death. But a tame split-second of gal's smooching necessitates a warning. Yeesh. By the way, dear Lord please bring back Firefly or a Serenity sequel, please bring back Firefly or a Serenity sequel, please bring back Firefly or a Serenity sequel... |
I am so fucking pissed this show got cancelled :|
