Wonder Showzen.
Um... WOW. Has anyone seen this show? It's like Sesame Street for adults, on MTV2.. fucking HILARIOUS.
They'll have skits where they ask kids questions, like "What is heaven?" and one of them says "Self deception." Another skit has this sad music with words floating around, such as "lonely" "depressed" "emotion" "sadness" with a man saying, "so... your parents are getting divorced..." and all of a sudden it flashes to some kid pointing at the camera and yelling "HAHAHAHA LOSERRRRRR HAHAHAH". One had this kid washing his hands over and over in the style of those 50's "hygiene" films they used to show students. "I wash my hands.. I eat food.. I wash my hands... I see my sister wash her hands, then I get an idea: wash my hands! ... but no matter how hard I scrub, I can't get rid of the shame." More choice quotes that I thought were utterly hilarious: Kid saying, "Here, I'll read you my favorite passage from the bible... BLAH BLAH BLAH BORING BLAH BLAH" Kid saying, "I hate you. I hate everything you stand for, and I hate god." (They pick on god a lot, it's hilarious) "Funny - not funny!" skit that showed things like a dog smoking a cigarette, flashing "Funny!" then a dead body "Not funny!" A kid drowning "Not funny!" then a little boy throwing something into a little girl's eye, which ended up making her cry, "Funny!" "This is what war looks like" with a plane overhead dropping napalm.. "This is what peace looks like" the plane going in reverse, then blowing up and a kid saying something like "GOT YOU, SUCKA!" I can't even begin to explain how wonderful this show is... If you have a twisted sense of humor and enjoy this kind of stuff, you NEED to check this out. Next showing is tomorrow at 11 PM, then on Friday at 12 AM, 12:30 AM, 9:30 PM, and 11 PM (on MTV2).

Hah, I'll definately have to catch this show at some point, that sounds hilarious. I found a couple clips at
http://www.thedst.com/wondershowzen/ A pretty good skit there, with a puppet chasing down joggers and asking them what they're running from... then he asks them if they'd like to hear the word of Jesus... not bad at all Do you know where I could download some more of this show? I couldn't find too much off Google. Send me a PM of if you find something... interesting. Thanks for the heads up.

I caught it last night in the wee hours of the morning. It was pretty funny.
Some of it was waaay over the top, but the skit with Travis? at the racetrack was pretty funny. "My dream is to punch a horse in the face" or something like that.....

TYLER!!!
"At 1st I wanted to shave my beard and free the slaves. But I really wanted to shave the slaves and free my beard!"-Kid dressed up as Abe Lincoln. I absolutely love this show. It's absolutely genious. "Let's go watch cartoons... YOU LOSERS!" Oh, and guthmund, the kid goes to the old guy and says: "It's my dream to punch a horse in the face... Can you be the horse, and can I be the dreamer?"

Quote:
That Travis kid (at the racetrack) was one of the finest parts of the show. The puppet asking about Jesus was pretty funny as well. And the scene where the puppets on the boat were fighting part of the red dotted line was incredibly clever. Finally, something worth watching on MTV.

I caught the pilot online a few months ago and assumed that MTV would never do anything with the show until I saw a commercial with the little kid saying "Let's watch a cartoon, you losers" and I remembered it from the pilot and I got really excited. I'm taping every episode because I assume it'll get cancelled really soon or taken off the air for it's offensive nature. The 2nd episode comes to mind, when it was brought to you by "white people" and then they hit the little black kid over the head with a hammer. My jaw dropped and was surprised the screen didn't go to color bars right then and there. I guess they made up for it at the end by revealing that God was a big black guy lol.

Hey guys,
I saw just saw this a few days ago. I'm not really cool enough for MTV let alone MTV2, so caught it while channel surfing on the TIVO. I thought it was really funny. I normally don't laugh out loud when i watch tv by myself. But I honestly was in tears. I would say they push it more than the guys from South Park. Its a great satire. Your Pal Holdem. |

OH... MY... GOD.
Did anyone see the promos for the new season yet?! It starts off with a home video of a little girl dancing, doing ballet or something, and then it shows: (Her name, forget right now): Killed by a drunk driver. March 31 @ 9:30 PM Then there's a slight pause, and this voice comes on "... THE SAME DAY AS THE NEW WONDER SHOWZEN!!!!" HAHAHA

i saw a scarier promo
it was something to the effect of "2 of your favorites are joining forces for sic 'em friday!" and it showed andy milonakis and the chauncey puppet i was terrified that they had combined the shows into one because they both had problems with ratings or something luckily they just meant that both shows are airing on the same night. i would hate for this show to be tainted by the unfunny weirdness of the fat kid. |
