Nice trib to Foley Monday--surprised I haven't seen more posts about it...he deserves it ...a hard worker and a great guy [does a lot for charity] but being thrown half-way to the boiler room may have left the door open for the return of Mankind at some point...anyone else think that?

Well, Foley's current contract with the WWE just ended. It lasted about 4 weeks. It was just to let him promote his book, and to participate in a lackluster PPV. He has expressed an interest in returning to the WWE in the future though, and this definitely leaves the door wide open for a feud with Orton and VinnieMac. If he had left after the tribute, and just showed up one day, then he would need to create a new angle as to why he returned.

Spleen's Smackdown on... Smackdown... ?

APATaker VS the FBI:
Uh, hmm. You would think that Bradshaw would get a better reaction from the crowd. Its probably because he isn't recognizable anymore. The new hair, and the less-flabby body. I'll give him a few weeks. If he doesn't return to form and get the reaction he deserves, then, well, poop on him.

V1 Hardy VS Kishi
Cripes, Rikishi looked like crap in the ring. He needs to get his stamina back up, because it looked like he was suffering the entire match. A little conditioning would be good. Of course, there is also the genetics thing to think of. He is naturally going to be large because of his backgroung. His entire family is big (minus jimmy snuka, who is related by marriage (i think))

El Guerreo y Tajiri VS Piper/Ohaire
Piper should never take his shirt off. Never. Ever.

ULTIMO DRAGON VS SHANNON MOORE
THE HIGHLIGHT OF THE ENTIRE FREAKING SHOW. Okay, thats out of my system. Ultimo exceeded my expectations, even while not pulling all the tricks out of his sack. He and Shannon (more later on) put on an amazing show. His finisher looks good, especially when the crowd went nuts over it. If you didn't see it, its Ultimo going up to take an Atomic Drop. But he continues over his opponents back in an arc, grabbing the guys head and neck. It lands in a mock reverse DDT. Very good looking move.

I skipped the 6man tag. I still don't watch big show.

=====

Shannon Moore the new Jamie Noble? Moore took everything Ultimo had to give out tonight, and he did it without screwing up. Noble does it for Mysterio, by easily going from transition to transition, move to move without any visible timing errors. I think that after tonights matchup, Moore will continue to wrestle Ultimo, just from Ultimo to bring out new moves to wow the crowd. Moore did an excellent job tonight and needs to be commended.

When Version 1.0 took the turnbuckle padding off, leaving that lethal exposed steel, I was convinced that it would backfire on him, giving Rikishi the win. Thank God I was wrong.

What the hell are Benoit & Rhyno doing on Velocity, and why the hell are they still tag partners? I guess they've got to slow the story down with another month until Vengeance.

Looking forward to some Berverly Hillbilly-style fun now that Jamie Noble is a rich man. Him and Nidia are always good for a laugh, the stuff they did with Tajiri was classic.

During the taping, Vince accidentally hit a fan in the head while breaking Tenacious Z's cane, sparking a "Lawsuit" chant from the crowd. Shame they didn't show that.

Damn, I was really looking forward to Ultimo Dragon's debut on Smackdown, but had to miss it due to family obligations. I hope he has another match next week. Here's to him getting into the Cruiser Weight title hunt so we can see Ultimo Dragon vs. Rey Mysterio Jr. They should be able to put on a good show.

Ya know, with all the hype about Ultimo Dragon, I wasn't that impressed. Looks like he botched a couple moves and he wasn't all that quick. I expected him to be flying all around the ring. If they want to sell this guy, he should have had a lot easier time with Shannon Moore.

you and me both dude. i was expecting waaaay more from an "international superstar." i was very unimpressed. the reverse DDT wasn't that cool, and his martial arts "skills" were nothing to write home about either.

oh.. and bradshaw's "clothesline from hell" kicked ass!!

You both have to realize that Ultimo has not wrestled in a few months. Aside from the 4man matches he was doing in the house shows, he hasn't had much recent time in the ring.

And don't forget that while he was wrestling in Japan, he had a massive injury to his elbow (note the black thing on his arm) that required surgery. Not only did it go into the operating room, but the doctor who was performing it botched it. He has a screwed up arm now. That would cause for a decrease in his abilities.

Then you need to know that if he turned out all his tricks today, what the heck would we do with him next time? I mean, how many 619's to West Coast Pops can a person do before it gets boring?

In other news:

YOU'RE FIRED!!! (spit spit, hack cough. dammit. I don't see how VinnieMac does that)
Roddy Piper has been tossed out of the WWE for remarks made during an interview for HBO. Apparantly, WWE officials (Read: VinnieMac) didn't care for Pipers accusations that pro wrestling encourages people to start taking drugs. (See: VinnieMac now) So, they have nothing better to do but throw him out (Tossed by: VinnieMac) before his current contract ends in August. No more contract negotiations (One sided: VinnieMac) will be made to see if Piper will continue to work with the WWE and Sean OHaire. Oh well. Thats just one old guy out of the way. As long as Jim "HOOOOOOOOO" Duggan doesn't show up again.

=====

Who's going to win the US Title? Oh c'mon, thats an easy question.
WHO BETTA THAN KANY... Oh yeah... everybody.
Hmm... this may take some work. Heck, I don't even know what the ladder looks like, because StepHHH McMaHHHon hasn't shown us anything. All we see are some weak ass preliminarys. BUT, from who I think is involved, I do believe V1 Hardy will win. He's my hands down favorite, even though its probably going to go to Benoit. He's done the time, he was headlining, now he's back midcarding. Once he drop Rhyno like the piece of crap he is, Benoit will rise once again.

Anyway, my small list for the US title in order of who will probably win (and based on the fact that I don't know who is involved either):

1) V1 Hardy
2) Benoit
3) The suprise return of THE HURRICANE
4) Eddie Guerrero (even though he's going to be holding the Tag Title in some form for the next 3 months)
5) John Cena. whore.

I'm hoping Benoit gets the US title, if only as an apology for having Cena pushed over him during Angle's absence. But I'm thinking it'll be Benoit vs. Rhyno at Vengeance, and as much as I'd like to see V1 Hardy with a nicer piece of gold, I doubt it since he just had the cruiserweight belt. That makes my best guess John Cena, although I think Benoit deserves it most (if he can't have a world title run)

Good riddance to Piper, now if only Flair could do the same thing. we'd be in business once again.

HHH is honking Steph again? That Fabio wanna be bastard!!

If I had to pick one to win the US title, I'll go with Hardy. And I'm sure it'll be by devious means, of course. I would like to see Benoit win it, cuz he needs some gold around his waist.

WWE finally listening and getting rid of hte old guys. Piper gone last week, and today Hogan announces on Bubba the Love Sponge that he is taking a "hiatus from the WWE". He says its after how he was portrayed in the 6-man match last week. Anyone think its more fallout from the HBO interview?

Raw was pretty shitty this week. Very little worth noting. Gail Kim looked good in her debut, I've done a little research on her, and if they let her do the Rey Mysterio style moves, she'll make something interesting happen in the Women's division.
I really liked Rico's match too. He reminds me of Golddust, but even more fairylike, it's pretty easy to get heat with a gay gimmick, but he was prancing about like champ. I hope he gets into the Intercontinental title hunt, or a tag team run with Golddust. Funny how they kept Jackie Gayda out of the women's Battle Royale, I guess they don't want to put her back in the ring. Other than that, everything else on the show was a waste of time, especially how they've already ruined the IC title by not letting Christian win a match cleanly since he won the belt, or just giving the belt to Booker.

After seeing Gail Kim in her premiere match... I think I'm in love. Even though next week she will be stripped of the title, Teddy Long will come out and "holla" at "the playas" and point out that Jazz never went over the top rope.

Rico's match was absolutely hilarious. He is quite the prancer, and his escort/pet is mega hot. I almost fell out of my chair laughing when he kissed Maven.

Question: If Kane hates RVD, why did he turn away from him to choke slam Bitchoff? THE PLOT THICKENS!!! *DUN DUN DUH!!!*

GAIL WAS HOT. *cough cough* scuse me.
That was one of the weakest battle royals I've seen... EVER. Probably because none of the talent had their A-games for the match. Oh well. I saw Victoria do her finsher. That was a waste. Ivory almost popped herself outta her uniform. Poo. I want Victoria to get some more airtime. boohoohooo.

THE HURRICANE and ??? to be tag champions? It would be nice. I want to see some more gold on the Hurricane. Probably him and Val Venis, because they were doing a few house shows together.

Rico had a decent match. Maven did... better than usual. If Rico's gimmick is going to work, he needs to prance a little bit less so he can antagonize his opponents more. A nice finisher would be good too. Kicks in the head just don't cut it. Except the Shining Wizard. SWizard is cooler than... ice.

Kane's match - did'nt watch it. But he probably slammed Bischoff because he blames Bischoff for his unmasking. We all know Kane and RVD are going to feud for a bit, so there is plenty of time.

=====

In other news, Crash has left the WWE. So we only have one official Mattitude Follower, and Mooreon. Its too bad that VinnieMac never used Crash as more than a beanbag. He has good talent. Expect him to show up in NWA:TNA for a few shows (probably, I don't really know) and possibly join the X division. Then he might join MLW because a lot of other stars are appearing there.

Raw was pretty cool. I really like this gail kim! I loved that move she did to get victoria out of the ring! Very Awesome!

Damn when kane choke slammed bischoff, oooh it looked like it hurt! He hit the table so awkwardly.... eeek.
I think it's so funny that they are making this huge thing about kanes face, that he's all hideous, and has totally disgusting face. And he's pretty normal looking. I'm glad they are making him keep the contacts though.

What was kanes name before, DR. Isaac Yankem, or something like that a long time ago? That was funny!

hehe just wanted to add my two cents!!!

I always thought Test and Stepanie had a thing going on.... So Step and HHH in real life. Seems weird. Best of luck to them, now if HHH would just drop the belt and let us have another HeavyWeight Champ I'd be happy. As for the US belt, it should go to none other than the Canadian Crippler Chris Benoit.

bondagegirl - I get pretty much all of my info from http://www.steveswrestling.com . Its acts as a wrestling filter of a bunch of sites, where mostly the main news is given a small summary. You can then go to the actual site and read the entire article.

cybermike - Jazz got her arm dislocated. She'll be back in action next week.

HeyAgain - Our canadian neighbors who watch RAW on TSN (TSN? I think thats it) had the Test part cut out of the broadcast. Darn you canadian entertainment authority, darn you!

I remember a few years ago, TSN showed a similar segment on RAW (can't remember the specific incident) where a man attacked a woman. A few months later TSN had to air a full screen explanation of the incident and how it broke Canadian broadcasting laws and how sorry they were, they probably got fined pretty badly too. It stayed on for a few minutes between the commercial break and the RAW broadcast. Ever since then, TSN's been pretty careful about what they show.

Bondagegirl, I think HHH and Chyna broke up because HHH was cheating on her with Stephanie, and now Chyna and Sean Waltman (X-Pac) are married. That must be a hilarious looking couple, she could break him in half with her thighs.

Whoah, Chyna and Sean Waltman? That's pretty big news.

As far as HHH and Chyna's break-up, there was an episode of Off The Record (a talk-show type thing on TSN here in Canada) with HHH on it. He was asked about his break-up with Chyna and whether Stephanie was the cause of it. HHH said not directly, because things had been going downhill between them both for quite some time beforehand, it's just that Chyna didn't see it. Stephanie was just there at the right time.

As far as the Raw segment that got TSN in trouble, my guess is when the Dudley's were doing that thing where Bubba Ray would powerbomb different women through a table each week.

Ahhh yes, the good old days. I remember that. Very entertaining, and the look Bubba would get on his face (the "orgasmic" look as JR termed it) was hilarious!!

TNN on Dish Network in the good old US of A was not censored.

Spleen's Smack Down... of Smackdown?

Only things worth talking aboot this week are the Tag Match and Gowan.

BENJAMIN/HAAS VS EDDIE/TAJIRI
Nice match. Good ups and downs. I'm suprised that Benjamin and Haas won, but if that means they can start calling themselves the best tag team in the WWE today, then I'm all for it. Without that claim, they have nothing to fall back on.

It's good to see Eddie being a heel again. Its just not right for him to play a face. Good for him. Now we just need Chavito to return, and bring the gold back to Mexico.

StepHHH McMaHHHon (and gowan) VS BIGSHMO
Wow. If StepHHH didn't carry Zach throughout the entire match, Tenacious Z never would have got his contract without her great skill.

Ok, time to take my head out of my butt.

Z ROCKED THE HIZZOUSE!! Finally good to see him in action. Thats all. Enjoy.

Now if Z and Spanky (Penis) teamed up...

Now that Eddie doesn't have any gold, I'm hoping they put him in the US Title tournament. Have him beat Sean O'haire or someone next week, then cheat to beat fan favorite Mr. Ass, setting up Guerrero/Benoit for the belt at Vengeance, there's your match of the night now that Big Slow's in the main event, at least he probably won't win it, if Vince wants to save Angle/Lesnar for Summerslam.

Just as an advance to this nights RAW (which airs in 4.5 hours, so I have not seen tonights show yet): I'm really not liking Austin and Bischoff working together. Its not that Bischoff doesn't do what he does well, making people hate him, but Austin just is not living up to my expectations. We all know that he is severely injured, and isn't going to wrestle any time soon. What does that mean? He isn't going to fight with anyone. Probably ever. So we can't expect him to actually feud with anyone. That really limits what kind of things he can get into. I don't know. It is kinda sad.

=====

other news:

Jindrak, Mark Jindrak. Bwah hahahahhahah!! He's going to get a major push since he is officially the newest member of Evolution. You can ask Val Venis, cause the penisy one says so, BROTHER!!

In order to do the big push, aside from prancing around with Flair and TripleHo, Jindrak will be teaming with Orton to become the tag team of the moment. I guess that is a good enough reason, seeing as I still don't like La Ouisistance.

======

Jeff Hardy fans will be happy he is still wrestling. He's been signed to wrestle for Ring of Honor for a threeway match. Thats all I know, and all I care to say about him. GO V1!!!

=====

Oh yeah, Sean Waltman (mr. Chyna) is not with NWA anymore. Seems like he just isn't looking marketable anymore (if ever).

Ok, sorry for my absence, I know you all missed me. I'll try not to stay away so long next time.

Thoughts...

Ultimo in his prime had over 9 belts at once. Including the WCW Cruiserweight and the WWF LightHeavyweight, at once. And he beat everybody. He has 1 good arm and is still a better worker than half the guys on the roster.

I never eeeeevvver linked Mark Jindrak, I like Sean O'haire when the 2 were tag champs in WCW, but never like Jindrak.

If you love heel tag teams you gotta love La Resistance. They are green, and just think what they'll look like in a year. I'm an old school fan of the Rougeaux Brothers and they fit that mold perfectly. And they are a true tag team, not 2 guys put together to make a team.

Hurricane needs a great partner, I have no clue what they have in store for him, and I think you may be a little against L.R. because they have beaten, nay, dominated the Green one for the last two weeks. And I like the 'Cane, he's one of the best guys on the entire WWE roster.

Tonight will be Austin only, so I'm guessing he'll be getting a chokeslam at some point.

Until next time...

You know the rest.

On a side note, thanks to Spleen for creating one of the most popular boards in the entertainment section. Keep up the good work.

Its only popular because out of the 160 posts in here, I made 80 of them

And I don't like La Ouisistance because they are beating the poop outta the Hurricane (WOOSH!!). I don't like them because they have some of the worst outfits... ever. Oh yeah, and they are not really French. And they spent less time in OVW than Jindrak. And Maven. And Nowinski. And Jackie Gayda. And Linda (whats her name with the Bashams? Laquisha?).

Details, details...

NO Goldberg so far, and no L.R. and the main event is on.

L.R. put in real ring time other than the WWE farm system. Both are former Stampede athletes I believe. They earned their spots, you need to lay off the hate-oraid playa. You can belive dat.
All the tough enoughs were so green it's not even funny, and Maven gets his shot at the Game on Sunday. Go figure...

Anyone notice it looks like Trish quit working out? She's still hot but I swear I saw a gut hanging over her pants, and her butt was jiggling a little more than usual, not that I'm complaining, it's just an observation.
