Spleens RAW review:

Booker T is Intercontinental Champ. Thats a good thing. The bad thing is that he won it on RAW, and not on a major PPV. I expect him to lose it real quick, so we can have a buildup to SummerSlam. GO BOOKER!! BUT I'M STILL ONE OF CHRISTIANS PEEPS!!

Holy crap! Did you see Hurricane's Shining Wizard off the back of Rosey into Rodney Macks head?! Otherwise, I'll looking forward to Rosey feuding with the Mack. It would be good for both their careers because they really have nothing else to do. Where the hell is Nowinski?

Victoria VS Gail Kim (oh yeah, the two other guys too)
Dang, Victoria was looking good tonight. Physically. Nice in-ring Attire. Gail could use some work. Her last Hurricanrana nearly decapitated Victoria.

GO Y2J - MR. CANADA!!!

Okay, that is all that was worth mentioning for tonights RAW.

=====
Other thoughts:

I'll drink all the hate-r-aide I dang well feel like, BI-ATCH!!! I'll Hurrislam your ass into the ground, so WHATS UP WIT DAT!?!?!?!?

Eh, Trish looks like Trish. I don't think she ever had a flat stomach. She just covers it up with her shirts.

My RAW thoughts :

It's about time they finished the Christian - Booker T feud. Christian was booked to be one of the weakest champions in the belt's history, right down there with the Godfather. I bet they'll hand Orton the belt at or before Summerslam though.
Any match with a Gail Kim near-beaver-shot gets **** from me, regardless of how average the rest of the match was.
Notice the lack of La Resistance on the show? I guess they didn't want to take the chance of the Frenchies getting cheers in Montreal. No Goldberg either, I'm not complaining though.
I loved Rico's acting job when Stone Cold asked him "who did this to you?" and Rico said "Kane... I.. think it was... Kane... ugh" (passes out) such cheese.
Cheers to Y2J for going from Mr. Canada (easy for him to do in Canada) to super heel in the middle of the promo. I hope Michaels gives Jericho the win he deserved at Wrestlemania.
Kinda surprised Kevin Nash did the J-O-B to Test of all people, maybe he'll quit soon.

Hopefully Nash quits. I didn't like him when he left WWF(E) and I still don't like him now that he is back. Soon, he'll fade away into the logs of yesteryear, as VinnieMac realizes that no one really cares about Nash. I mean, we have Test. Test=Nash. Trust me. Its not hard to give someone a boot to the head. Tests Finisher=Nashs Finisher. They are both the same move, just presented differently.

And I read on steveswrestling.com (which he most likely borrowed from a different site) that Goldberg WAS scheduled to be on RAW, as was La Ouisistance. But somehow, Goldberg realized that he had an elbow infection when he got to the arena. Not on the plane, not before he left his residence. AT THE FREAKING ARENA. Like he didn't notice. So anyway, Goldberg was supposed to do something with La Ouisistance, but since G was in the hospital getting his elbow checked out - No Frenchies.

Anyone else cringe when they saw SCSA take the chokeslam? Knowing how bad his neck is in real life, I was surprised they had him take the bump. It didn't look as protected as the one Stacey took last week, either.

I have to agree with you mrquackers. I seriously cannot tell if S.Austin is selling the move, or he is really worried about whether something shifted in his neck. The same goes for Kurt Angle. I'm just expecting one of them to take a bad hit (like taking a hurricanrana from Gail Kim) and landing on their heads. Then, they don't get up.

It is good though, that they pretty much outlawed the piledriver. Well, kinda. Anyway, that is a really good way of screwing up a persons neck. If you are not supported properly by the person dropping you, or your head and neck are too long... well, good bye wrestling career.

Only thing I saw this week was the first fifteen minutes, and I walked by the tv right when the Y2J/HBK segment was beginning. Raw is of no interest to me because of the cancer known as HHH. He has destroyed the credibility of every main event contender and will probably only lose that title if he tears that damn quad again.

Smackdown is a much more dynamic show. Everyone is on equal footing and is given a chance. They make stars on Smackdown. Raw just destroys them so HHH can keep his spot.

Guess that is just one of the perks of banging the boss' daughter.

Hey does anyone know if Bischoff got hurt from that choke slam that kane handed him last week on RAW? They played replays of it this week, and I say again OUCH!!! It really looked like it hurt... and he wasn't around this week...

No, he just got the week off.

I am sure he got a bit of a sore back though.

Is that all forms of the piledriver? So no more Tombstone Piledriver or Inverted Piledrivers? I know what happened to Stone Cold, but i miss the tombstone, i liked it a hella lot better than the Last Ride which looks just like the Kevin Nash's old Diesel Bomb. Also that replay of the Choke slam Kane gave Bischoff was wicked... That was the first time I had seen that footage and I have give credit to the two of them for not serious hurting Bischoff.

bondage - When Bischoff got slammed, he landed on a table... of sorts. What they tryed to hide was the fact that the table was supported by a large black cushion. So the table was most likely weakened to shatter on impact, and bischoff was padded by the black thing. Whenever someone gets tossed off the side of the ramp, they usually land on the pad, or the piles of coils, that are most likely some more sponge or rubber. I over analyze.

Prophacy - I don't think it is all forms of the piledriver. I mean, look at how many people take a DDT on their heads (RVD and Val Venis come to mind). I think it is mainly the sitdown piledriver. The tombstone 'should' be okay, because most of the impact in on the persons shoulders, which are landing on the other guys quad's.

I also think that Undertaker stopped using the Tombstone as his finisher because of his new direction of his character. He wants to get away from the Dead Guy gimmick, and the Tombstone is really a dead (har har har) giveaway that he is still the burial man. Let Kane do it for now.

And stop it with the stupid Chokeslams!!!!

yeah... Big Slow's chokeslam has been pretty lackluster lately. Kurt and Brock are even more entertaining than Kurt and Benoit. The "pushup contest" had me laughing till the commercials were over!! I hope that Brock keeps the title at Vengeance, so he and Kurt can go one on one at SummerSlam and can continue their silly shennanigans until then.

Yeah, since they came from Québec, that would have killed the heel spirit the're building around them.

I still wonder what Y2J is doing without the World strap around is waist. He is without a doubt the best Heel on Raw.

Speaking of banned moves, how about the invertabreaker? That was an awesome move but I got nervous everytime I saw it.

Everynow and then you'll see a tombstone, but it is only reserved for special talent. Like Pete Rose.

Orton with the IC belt? I could dig it. The is no great rivalry for the ages right now.
Flair Steamboat, Bret Shawn, Taker Mankind. Austin McMahon, and HHH Rock were some greats. Orton needs to find somebody to feud with through an IC program and on to the Heavyweight title. Booker T would be a great one, even though he's a good bit older.

Jericho would also be a good choice, but he likes being heel too much and Orton is a heel 4-life. If not it's a shame.

Almost forgot,

Until Next Time,

Viva La Resistance!!

I can tell Taker is moving away from the deadman thing, but for god's sake his name is the Undertaker.... The Ministry Taker was the best version and he should have stayed longer as that char IMO.

Anyway, what does everyone think about the match between Zack and Vinny Mac at Vengance? I never order the PPV but I sure would like to see that match if nothing else.

That match would be the exact reason I would never order Vengence. Too much talent to waste seeing Vinnie Mac wrestle, including Stef on the card too? Are you kidding me?

Smackdown is hurting IMO, and these are not matches that will help.

Compared to Raw, Smackdown is flourishing.

Smackdown hasn't been the same since Paul Heyman lost his writing duties. Notice how Big Show, Undertaker, Albert, etc. all showed up around that time, because Vince McMahon jacks off to big men.

I really dislike the direction most of the storylines are going in these days, but there is still a glimer of hope that they could pull 80% of them out of the crapper..
Give La resistance some real heat. stop having people turn every month, give Jericho a title dammit!, and dont fuck this Kane thing up..

Btw, i wouldn't mind seeing Big Steph in a match.. Hell her and Shane-O-mac would make a grrreat team.

I really hope they put Eddie over Mr. Ass in the US title tournament. What better way to help push Eddie as a heel than if he cheats to beat super-face Mr. Ass? And then go on to cheat his way to victory over Benoit at Vengeance, nothing against Matt Hardy V1, but Guererro and Benoit both deserve gold more than Hardy. So far, Vengeance looks 50/50, I'd like to see Rey/Kidman vs. The Greatest Tag Team in the World, The triple threat, and any US Title final without Mr. Ass, I could do without the McMahon matches, and I could care less about Undertaker/Cena.

I hope Billy Ass loses horribly in the US title tournament. But it is probably likely that he will win it, just to give him some momentum. I mean, he really hasn't done much since he made his return. And aside from the tag titles, what else has he done? (King of the Ring. BAH!)

So anyway, I'm still a V1 Hardy fan, and I'd like for him to win it. But its still probably going to go to Benoit. For the life of me, I'd rather see Benoit and V1 Hardy at the PPV in the finals, and not in the Smackdown televised semifinal.

As for GreatestBenjamin in the World, I feel they are going to retain the titles against Kidman and Mysterio. If you are going to be forced to be named the Greatest Benjamin in the World, you are pretty much forced to hold the titles for at least 2 months. This is the WWE after all.

Also, why is the Big Slow, with his protruding gut, still wrestling. Has he heard of the Ketogenic diet. He should go down to OVW, and lose a 100 to 150 lbs. Even Shaq doesn't weigh that much and they are the same height.

Because she is dirt cheap, and a name from when the WWF was making shitloads of money.

Because he has something like a guaranteed 10million dollar contract. McMahon is trying to get some money out of him even though he realized what a big waste of money it was.

Anytime they ask Show to lose weight or quit smoking, he just laughs and collects a pay check.

I think the contract is up sometime this year. I doubt it will be renewed.

As for BigSmho's gut, I think that he needs it. For a man of his size (height) to take so many bumps and stuff, he would break in half if he was any thinner. Andre the Giant wasn't thin. The Giant Gonzales... well he was. But still. Taking the "ideal" body frame/type and only making it taller is not healthy. There has to be an equal expansion in girth in a proper ratio for the body to function somewhat normally.

Spoiler are up for Thursdays Smackdown and to ease some of the concerns the following is a spoiler,,,

Eddie does indeed beat Mr. Ass and will face Benoit for the US title, and the way the crowd is loving Eddie I expect him to go over big timeI like this scenerio, with interference from Chavo, Rhyno comes to help but costs Benoit the title, finally, FINALLY breaking the 2 up and setting them in a program together.

PLEASE DON'T POST SPOILERS!!!

I make every effort to avoid reading them until after the matches, so I can remember what went down.

That being said - GOOD GOOD GOOD. If V1 can't fight in the final, Eddie and Benoit are an excellent match. They came into the WWE together, and aside from Saturn leaving and Malenko doing the business side, they well... yeah. Rock on.

Between the two though - I'm voting for Benoit, because I feel he deserves it after not winning the World Title so many times. Eddie is going to benefit enormously, as Mario brought up, so expect him to feud with Benoit for awhile.

Spleens RAW Review

Not much this week, pretty lame showing for RAW if you ask me.

Stratus/Steiner/Nash VS Test/Victoria/Richards
Uhhh... hmm... If Test versus Steiner isn't boring enough already, lets put Nash in there to get some action!! Or not. I was waiting for Victoria to tear into Trish (which she kinda did). And aside from Test actually having a good time pissing off the crowd, nothing really went down.

Storm VS Maven
Hokey crap!! Maven screwed up a hip-toss. Storm was supposed to take Maven down, but Maven forgot to take the fall. He experienced a pathetic delayed reaction, and somehow landed on top of Storm. Nothing else to do but try to get the pinfall, but that wasn't scripted (I don't think) and everyone got back up. Sad sad sad.

I expect Hurricane and Rosey to team up as a tag team. That would be pretty cool. Almost another Mabel and Moe (M.O.M) teamup. Huge guy and small guy.

I turned the TV off after that, cause I was bored as hell and didn't think I would miss anything exciting that couldn't be read the next day in the post-show spoilers

And by the looks of it, nothing exciting in the least.

=====

Other Notes:

I personally do not like the Kane storyline at all. Its just so damn cheesy. I like the way they have explained his miraculously unscarred face by calling it an extreme phsychological thing (a la fantastic 4 comic books), but just the bad acting and lack of suprise (when he brought out the gas can you KNEW how it was gonna end).
