I have been looking for a few select DVD's (region 1) for some time.
The Beatles "Help"
Monty Python "Meaning of Life"

Any idea on where I might find these, or why they are out of print?

Any DVD's that you are looking for?

(Did a search on TFP v.4, but didn't find any info on this)

This is where I go to find prices on most any dvd (region 1, most stores are online and US/Canada based http://www.dvdpricesearch.com/.

The beatles "Help" seems to be out of print, I think that it had something to do with rights/licensing or something.

I was glad that I could help you out there. The store has only been around for a year or so ( I think), but they have some of the best online prices that I have found and they also have a good reputation.
As dankitti said tho, you can try ebay, but it's best to try and read up on some dvd news sites because I have read about people spending lots of $$$ when they could have waited a few weeks/months for the dvd to be re-released.

Still waiting for Escape From New York with commentary from John Carpenter and Kurt Russell. It's suppose to be out this year sometime.

I just came across this information and thought that you might find it useful if the order for the meaning of life doesn't go through. According to the rumor mill here http://www.thedigitalbits.com/rumormill.html
They are expecting a special edition of monty python's meaning of life around sept 2.

from the same rumor mill listed above, the rumored date for that escape from new york dvd is 12/26, so you have a bit of a wait ahead of you.
