I have mad respect for him after the amount of self-humour he pours on himself in Paulie Shore is Dead

What a funny movie.

I was curious as to wether that movie was even worth renting... I am assuming that you liked it (ace) what kind of humor was it?

The whole movie is just paulie shore making fun of himself.

Near the end it gets a tad (well... a lot) lame

But the start is a humerous critique of Hollywood

Just watched the movie yesterday, great flick. For some reason I've always liked Pauly Shore, liked his movies as well, never really got annoyed with the guy's acting, he's just always been funny, at least to me.

same here although i was kind of young when most of his stuff came out.
as a side note, i saw his girlfriend on howard stern the other night and shes a smoking hot playboy bunny and all natural (pretty damn rare for playboy i must say).

For those of us who were in the critical formative years of 6-12 during the great post eighties comedy wave which gave us classics such as Bill and Ted's Bogus JourneyExcellent Adventure, Encino Man, Son in Law and Weekend at Bernies I and II, Pauly Shore is cool.
Anyone else can feel free to despise him, but for that tiny demographic he was radical, and everyone at school quoted him around a marbles game. This was an age before Jay's snoochie boochies and Chappel's popularisation of 'fo shizzle', an age of innocence when comdey rose from the ashes to dominate the scene in the twighlight of the great action glut of the Reagan era...

Heady times...

I just watched this movie last night, and found it fascinating. I thought it was great how he stripped himself down and showed how the fall from fame can affect a person. For me at least, I forget sometimes that the actors I see in movies and television are normal people no different than anyone else I know. It shows a lot of guts to make a movie about how downhill his life has been since his MTV days.

Man this guy came out of nowhere and became incredibly huge... well for the MTV crowd that is... and then faded into oblivion in a very short span of time.

"Im the weasel... buuuuuddddy".... he even gave himself his own nickname, the weasel.. whats that about.
