I hate those Jamster cell phone commercials.
Has anyone else seen those stupid commercials that come on about every other second on MTV and Comedy Central ( I know some of you may be thinking I'm asking for it for watching those channels.)
The commercials attempt to sell cell phone backgrounds and ring tones that vary from backgrounds saying "bling bling" to a sir mix alot remix about how you should answer your phone call. For anyone who has seen these commercials I am certain that the feel the same way that I do about them. Just want to get all of your thoughts on these commercials. It is definitely a ripoff scam. In the fine print at the bottom, by downloading a ringtone or wallpaper, you agree you pay 1.99/week for the "service"

It seems that no matter what channel I watch I can't go for more than half an hour without seeing these commercials. They're all over the place and probably the most annoying thing ever shown on TV. Whoever is responsible for coming up with some of those ring tones seriously needs to rethink his career choice.

their marketing person is doing their job. we're talking about it, albeit complaining, but it is still in our heads and we know the name of the company and what they sell. i would assume they are making some good money off of this since the commercials seem to be on every channel.

I was in Germany for a while last year, and these commercials were all over the place. I was fearing the day they made their way stateside. Well, let's all do our job and not buy anything from them so they go away.

I was taught never to hate anyone or anything, for hatred gives way to rage and a lack of thought. I hate these commercials. That's how bad they are. If I hear that damned frog making the "vroom vroom" noise, on a phone or tv, I will lose my grip on reality and go completly mad. I'd rather listen to Hanson.

Marketing is doing thier jobs, think of how many teenieboppers and people who are the gotta have it kind that have spent $1.99 a week for many many weeks on this shit...if its in my head, I cant imagine how many of my friends have seen it. Untill about 2 weeks ago I hadnt noticed them, but a friend told me about it and now I see them ALL THE TIME.
Same goes for those damn Blockbuster commercials |

I swear to god if I EVER see anyone with the "Bling Bling Rims" or "Ice Queen" I will frigggen punch them in the face. I hate the commecials, they are long, annoying, and stupid. The who thing is a scam anyway, they charge like 1.99 a week for 3 things. Its unbelievable that anyone would ever buy that service.

Haha. I love them.
I don't know why, but I feel all warm and fuzzy inside when i'm falling asleep to comedy central, who plays them back to back every commercial break. And its not too bad a deal. 2bucks for 3 ringtones/wallpapers/games a week. Not too bad.

I will be the third to vouch for that. I remember seeing them in Switzerland, Spain, and France as well. There even a couple times when that damn thing ran NON-STOP FOR FIVE MINUTES - same commercial running over and over. Thankfully, I forget the name of the company [maybe it's different, i dunno] The purple dancing hippo that slaps himself (displayed on a few of the commercials} will be my avatar when I eventually would earn one here

These are the worst commercials ever. Some of the things are just incredibly offensive. Has anyone else heard the ringtone that is like "Where my baby daddy at? WHERE HE AT???"
Makes me want to punch whoever came up with that ringtone. I want to meet the person that would actually download something like that. Fuck! I could go on forever about all the fucking MTV buzzword nonsense used in their wallpapers and ringtones. Goddamn, just the thought of those commercials has made me ramble on. Damn Jamster, damn them and their horribly annoying marketing strategy, and even worse products.

I wouldn't be so annoyed, but there are maybe a total of 6 really bad ringtones, and
seriously lame and unimaginative wallpapers that you could get from ANYWHERE. And the fake Sir-Mix-a-Lot ringtones are the worst yet. Not only has he been out of style for years and years, why would anyone want to bring him back thinking it'll become popular again?

Yeah, how about they fucking stole the Hamster dance song? WTF??!! And it ought to be illegal to have anything catchy shown on a commercial, seriously. Where's the FCC when we really need them (I know it's cable so they don't apply). And what really bothers me is when they get the announcer talking rhythmically - 3 55 55 (FUCK)!

THAT DAMNED FROG!
Not only is it on every second ad, but now it's worked it's way onto radio, i'm just scared that they'll put it on paper and then no entertainment source will be safe. I counted 8, thats eight, one after seven and before nine, jamster adverts in a 12 advert break. Thats two thirtds of the entire frickin' ad break! *rant over* |

Jamster commercials are some of the most mind-blowingly stupid moments of my night. There I am...high off my ass and innocently trying to watch some goddamn Adult Swim or Comedy Central, and BAM! I get mindfucked by ridiculous commercials obviously geared towards burned out morons who think that a "Bling Bling" screensaver for their cell phone is just a brilliant idea. Fuck those guys.

These commercials are beyond annoying. I don't even think there is a word for them, the rapping hippo was actually pretty funny when I was high but besides that, they're fucking annoying.
