Name that cartoon...
I've been losing my mind today. I was thinking about some of my favorite cartoons from when I was younger, adn I rememebred a certian cartoon. This cartoon was (I think) on Fox in the early 90s. The storyline was as follows: In the future, mankind makes genetically engineered beings (blue, about 7 foot tall, bald, 4 fingers) to assist us in labor warfare, and other crap we;re to lazy to do ourselves. We treat them poorly for a while, then they rise up against us and overtrhow us. Banished from Earth, humans regather our armies, led by mobile suits (not unlike many other cartoons). The stars of the show were a part of a particular squadren of mobile suits. The team was fairly cliche, featuring a tough guy leader with a heart of gold, and including one of the genetically engineeered people who decided to fight on the side of humans. A lot of humans are enslaved by the genetically engineered people (called "neos" or something to that effect).
For the love of God, please help end my torment. Name that cartoon. |

Ok, I have one. Anyone remember the cartoon back in the day that was about this kid who lost his dog, and he traveled all around the world trying to find it. He'd often come close, but I don't think he ever found his dog. This has bothered me for the last 10 years or so. Ring a bell anyone?

The dog was small, I want to say it was a beagle or something like that. I believe the boy was blond, but I may be mistaken on that count. The dog could not talk, it was an ordinary dog as far as I remember. I do not remember who the dog was lost, I think it was shown in the show's opening sequence, or perhaps the first episode as well. It's kinda fuzzy. I do not believe his sole purpose was finding the dog, but somehow the dog always seemed to turn up in areas of the world he was in. There were close calls, but I don't think he ever got the dog back.
Pardon the hazy memories, this was 20+ years ago. |

Well the only cartoon I can think of about a blond kid that traveled the world with a dog is Johhny Quest, but his dog wasn't lost, so that's probably not it.
I did however find something that sort of matches the plot, but it's a live action show instead of a cartoon. http://www.70slivekidvid.com/rjr.htm |

That sounds close, but I'm pretty sure I remember it being a cartoon. And I don't remember it being a military dog. The images, videos and sounds on that page don't ring any bells. But hey, I could be mistaken, since it was so long ago.

You can get Exo Squad on DVD. It's not DVD quality (more like vhs quality), but it's the best you can do considering Exo Squad will never see the light of day again.
http://www.exosquad.com/ I think it's like $55 for both seasons with some DVD extras. |
