I think the black guy (I can't remember his name) is going to end up catching Ms. Marianne although I'd rather it be Chloe. She's such a bitch screwing around with poor, socially dysfunctional Edgar like that.

I really like this show. The first season was pretty good. I didn't care much for the 2nd or 3rd season, but this one is pretty damn good. It's still got a lot of campy dialogue, textbook sitcom situations/conflict and the acting can be a bit much at times, but overall, it's good stuff.

By the way, that was cold shit when the Secretary of Defense authorized the use of 'torture' on his son.

I think that white guy Heller's daughter saw is somehow involved with Heller's son. By the way, do you think they're playing Enya or some shit like that in those headphones they put on the kid? Just a thought.

Behrooz doing some shovel batting practice. How cool was that. Now that he knows his Dad wanted him dead, how many hours before he sends him to Allah?

I get the impression Chloe will be back, too. Her exit wasn't dramtic enough for it to be the last time we see her.

I kinda agree with you, at least with what they have going on in CTU this season. The two black people in CTU (i'm terrible with names) and their story about sleeping with each other for stupid reasons should go back to Melrose Place.

I was kinda suprised about Heller having his son submitted to that torture again, too. I feel like Heller could have gotten him to divulge things with a little sweet talk. After all, the son seemed very relieved to see his father again, after thinking his life was in danger and all that... seems like Heller could have exploited that and gotten him to talk.

I usually don't get that involved in the episodes, but I must admit, when those choppers came flying in over the hills at the last minute, YES! hahahaha

As for the SDT, I have trouble just listening to the very little that they actually play during the show. I can see how that sound would make someone go crazy.

That was pretty intense. I was thinkint the same thing... seemed more like a movie scene than something that was on tv.

As for Heller and having his son submitted to SDT again I was kinda suprised at how it went as well. I think his explination of having a duty to his country was lame, maybe explaining the gravity of the situation would have helped get the info they were after. Although if the the situation with his dad and sister being taken away to be killed wasn't enough I don't know what would be.

Can't wait for next week to see what goes down from 1-2. It's some good watching. Makes Mondays a whole lot better.

I was skeptical about the show at the start of the season. I still make fun of certain elements (like how the fire department got on-scene and put out the fire during the commercial break, lol) but it has been pretty good.

Chole WILL be back. She's the only one who could do the hacking necessary.

No kidding. Not to mention the "It's my call" crap that they seem to interject at random into the middle of what could be some really good dialogue.

I think you should do this.

Yeah I would guess that the ex-hubby had spoken to the Sec of Defence's son, and that's how the terrorists knew when and where to find him.

I thought he called either Chloe, or President Palmer... I wasn't expecting Tony at all. Color me stupid.

another spoiler I picked up from the Tonight Show I saw with Kiefer as a guest last week:
Spoiler: President Palmer is supposed to be coming back, which was why I thought it might be him.

If I remember right, weren't we led to believe that Tony was going to jail after he put CTU at risk by trying to rescue Michelle? I wonder how he got out of that.

That was one of the most amazing things I have ever seen!! Even for a show as awesome as 24. He is one of my favorite characters, so I love to see him kicking ass!!!!! And now I have to wait another entire week to see both Tony and Jack kick some ass together.

Side note..I was squeeling like a little girl when he came on the screen, jumping up and down. Wow.

Afterwards though, I got thinking about how Jack knew how to get a hold of Tony and how convenient it was that he was within 15 minutes away ready to take out some terrorists. I seem to remember it the same way as Moskie so wouldn't that mean Tony was a fugitive? Hard to believe that he'd be hiding out right under CTU's nose.

I'm sure they'll clear that all up right away next week though. And the "ex"-husband plot has been pretty uneeded so far so I'm sure there's more to it than it looks right now.

Can't wait for next weeks show.

It was awesome to see Tony come back. After watching the other seasons on DVD or downloaded all right in a row, this waiting a week between episodes is hard...

I have to say that I wanted to throw the remote through the TV when Jack gave that line about the 'only person he can trust.' WTF? Pretty good luck how Tony is able to show up right where Jack needs him in less than 5 minutes, armed and ready to kill terrorists.

Once again, their timing pisses me off. And I thought it was lame when the fire department put out the car fire in less than 5 minutes....

Every time I start to like the show they piss me off with these amazing feats and lame subplots (CTU director's daughter, estranged husband, etc.). The only thing believable was how the Arab mother decided to protect her son.

I agree about the subplots being pretty lame... but i gotta call you out on complaining about the timing.

It's called willfully suspending your disbelief, and it's absolutley necessary for 24. The real time aspect of the show is just a gimmick. This show has multiple story arcs, all supposedly happening concurrently and in real time. There's no way they could tell these stories if they didn't cheat a bit, so you just have to accept it.

And if it really bothers you a ton, try pretending the show *isn't* in real time. Ignore the gimmick. It really isn't important if you think about it... without it, it'd be the same story, told at the same pace, with the same characters, same everything... the only difference would be that you don't see a clock appear from time to time. Still, you'd have a great, exciting story. What difference does it make how specific the time frame is?

kind of a loaded question but...

Worked at CTU with Jack, and was a pretty high ranking guy (director of Field Ops? something like that). Towards the end of last season, his wife Michelle (also working at CTU) was held hostage by some baddies. Tony was secretly blackmailed to do some bad things to CTU in order to keep her alive. CTU and Jack ended up finding out and saving Michelle before too much harm was done, but there was talk about Tony being held responsible for putting CTU in danger. That's pretty much the last thing we heard about him before last season ended.

OK I finally watched it last night (I had to download it as my VCR crapped out in a power failure).

When Jack dialed his phone I knew he was calling Tony, I would have prefered Michelle (so hot...want to touch the hiney), but it was clearly going to be Tony. When he arrived 5 minutes later I just could not supress my "AW fuck" reaction. I want to suspend disbelief for 24, but that was just too much. I am willing to bet that down the road (IE: next episode) there is some lame reason for Tony just happening to be so close. Something like Chloe and Tony are tracking Jack for some reason. Some bullshit like that.

Otherwise it was a good episode...

Ok while it was really cool that it was Tony that saved the day.. or at least the hour.. heh... I am almost apaaled by the storyline of having Driscoll's sick daughter on sight while a major national crisis is developing. At the time, I even said that not even Tony would have been that unprofessional.

That being said, there are parts of this season that get my heart racing everyweek.

Okay...the timing thing with Tony was a bit unbelievable, but...

How cool was that ending?!? Huh???

Jack and Audrey pinned down, out of ammo and being advanced on by the bad guys....and in runs Tony to clean up.

Jack needs a fellow badass in the field. I kind of liked the first guy (the guy who was shot at the train depot), but Tony will do in a pinch.

Now all we need is somebody to 'out' Marianne as the badguy inside. I thought it might be the black guy (still not that good with names...), but it'll probably be Chloe. Although it would be nice to see Edgar do it as pasty, overweight, socially-inept computer nerds hardly ever have any 'hero' time.

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that next week, they're going to explain Tony's proximity to Jack's location was due to the fact that Jack had already contacted him earlier. It's the only thing that makes sense. The promo for next week eludes to Tony being a fugitive, but it will be interesting to see how the storyline plays out.

Is it me or do you think a goverment orginization that has had this many infiltrations in such a short period of time would be dissolved? That is the one problem I've had with the series. This week, Marianne, a "temorary employee", steps ten feet from the main floor, flips up a server hub access terminal and although asked about it initially is able to cause no suspiction. Then later after being busted for lying, no one bothers to check that terminal? I know part of television is to suspend disbelief, but just think it out a little more is all I'm saying.

Audrey's husband should die.

Behroot should slit his dad's throat while his mom runs the hot bath water (with, like, Middle Eastern type music playing in the background).

They should put Driscoll's schizo daughter in the same room with Heller's son. Then he'll talk.

In fantasy 24, Tony, Jack and Audrey will race to the beach where the man from the ball room has been spotted. As Tony and Jack persue, Audrey glances over towards the water and sees Michelle slowing walking from the surf wet, in a red bikini. She does not know who she is, yet is strangely attracted to her. As she runs to Michelle she slowly removes her...

...aw screw it.

Oh yeah...and Bill Devane rocks.

Alright so here;s my theory on why Tony was so close to Jack last week...

After Chloe was kicked out of CTU a few hours back she called Tony on his secret cell fone to ask him to "look out" for Jack since Erin Driscoll is so massively incompetent. Since then Tony has been tracking Jack via satellite imagery.

TaDa!

Everyone like the PSA about terrorism and Muslims? I thought it was funny they had to do that. However, it was a very good idea, since people are ignorant and get their views from shows like this, so I am glad they set the record straight that it is just a show.

Anyhow, I liked it tonight. Good fun.
