24: The Fourth Day
24 has been my favourite show since it started. Jack Bauer is an awesome badass. (Wow, do I ever sounds like a pimply fanboy
![]() The new season starts in a few days and I have been looking around the Internet trying to get some kind of a scoop on that the plotline is about this year. However, since it has a 2 character title it's nearly impossible to find anything with Google (same goes for 'er'). So other than the fact that some muslim groups are upset about being portrayed as terrorists again, has anyone heard what is going on? **Mark your spoilers please**

I'll go ahead and spoiler tag everything I've found about it.
Spoiler: From ew.com: "An explosion on a commuter train sets off another tough day at the office for Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland), who has been fired from CTU and is now working for the secretary of defense (William Devane) and secretly dating the secretary's daughter (Kim Raver). Didn't his experience with Nina teach him about combining business and romance? For more on that lesson, see Alias, above. (Fox, 8-10 p.m. and 8-10 p.m. Monday, Jan. 10; regular time period, Mondays, 9-10 p.m.)" Spoiler: Also from ew.com: " Arnold Vosloo is best known for playing the tightly wrapped ancient Egyptian villain in The Mummy and The Mummy Returns, but when he joins the cast of 24, he'll play a rebel without a gauze. According to the Hollywood Reporter, the South African actor will play a terrorist leader plotting against the United States throughout the upcoming season, which launches Jan. 9. Vosloo joins a largely new cast on the Fox drama, including House of Sand and Fog stars Shohreh Aghdashloo and Jonathan Ahdout (again playing a Middle Eastern mother and son; Witchblade's Nestor Serrano completes the family as Aghdashloo's husband, a Middle Eastern businessman); Knots Landing's William Devane as the Secretary of Defense, who is terror fighter Jack Bauer's (Kiefer Sutherland) new boss; and Third Watch alumna Kim Raver as the defense secretary's daughter and Jack's love interest. The new season of 24 begins Sunday, Jan. 9, with a double-length episode covering two hours of Jack Bauer's newest day of misery. Then, on Jan. 10 — Monday, 24's regular slot — two episodes covering hours 3 and 4 will air."

This two is my favorite show. The wife and I have waited until the seasons DVD's have come out and bought all 3 so far. Then we end up watching them in about 4 days, and man is my tail tired of sitting on the couch after those 4 days
![]() I'll skip on reading the spoilers for now. I'll figure you have watched through Season 3 which is over, so it isn't a spoiler anymore. If you haven't, don't read on. How much time will pass between this and the last 24? Will Kim and Chase still have a relationship? Will Chase still have an arm? So is Tony really going away for 20 years, or maybe even the death penalty? Will Jack still be using drugs? Here's a problem I had with season 3. It didn't continue well from Season 2. The whole president hand poison thing was sort of thrown away. And Jack's female relationship was covered with about a 30 second scene and she was gone... I don't know, if they just drop Kim and Chase, and Tony and Michelle, I think it would be lame. They kill off so many people in this show you are afraid to get attached to any... But I love it, can't wait for this season. Not sure if I will watch, or buy the DVD's when the season is over ![]() |

Jus got done watching the first two hours, and it's gonna be a good season. Don't plan on missing any shows...you'll miss a lot. Ever since I found this show, late in Season 1, I've only missed a few shows. I bought Season 1 on DVD, and now must obtain Seasons 2 & 3. Probably the best show going right about now, even if they do take some liberties with the time. I would guess that FX's "The Shield" is just as good, almost. I've watched a few of those, and like 'em.

I think the thing is, it's more than just Kiefer. It's more than just one guy's bad day. It encompasses alot more than that. It's hard to explain, but don't knock it til you try it.
And if you've tried it, well... I guess I'm gonna go away.

I love it. I have high hopes for this season after a little disappointing season three, but, if the episodes last night are any indication, it's going to kick some serious ass. That being said, I miss me my Kim and David Palmer. Ah well. |

Just to clarify in case you didn't know this, there are 24 episodes because there are 24 hours in a day. Each episode being one hour of that day, so we are now on his fourth bad day. Also, the days aren't consecutive in Jack's life. ![]()

Ok... yet another season... I was kinda skeptical when I heard they were continuing the Show. But wow... blew me away with the first two episodes and as I type I am watching 3 and 4. I think the guys writing this shit must be on some kind of mind alterting substance because this stuff is "on the edge of your seat" for an entire episode at a time....
Only thing is Kelly and her sexy self... gonna miss her!

It's disappointing because it's become way too predictable. I'd really like it if they let the "renegade" aspect of it drop. I'd be much happier if CTU just supported his 'crazy' methods instead on the constant 'you went too far this time'
It just makes the show cheesy. It still entertains me and I'll watch the whole season, but it is predictable and cheesy nonetheless. |

After last night's episode certainly looks like CTU is going to support Jack so long as he gets results. Now we know what the rest of the season is going to be about anyway. We knew all along it was going to be Nukes or Bio-Terror. I am glad they went the way they did.

I second that, Jack totally kicks major ass. I love the scenes where he turns into a robot super soldier, nailing the baddies left and right.
![]() I liked this past episode. Sometimes I feel that the show kills off characters too soon and too often, so I was happy to see the middle-eastern kid survive through at least another episode. I guess the show has to prove that his good ole fashioned American Values (tm) will save the day. And how about the action scene as they were rescuing the secretary of defense?! That was some edge-of-your-seat Hollywood level stunts going on there. I can't think of another TV show that's come anywhere near to the quality of that scene. I could rant a bunch more about the show... but i'll just say that i can't wait till next week.
