The Incredibles

Once again another frank and (hopefully) consise review; this time of The Incredibles!

First of all I believe that the plot was a good one! Two (forcefully) retired Superheros are settled down to have a family. The Husband is Mr. Incredible a man blessed (or cursed) with amazing strength, and the wife is Elastigirl who is a strong willed woman who has the ability to stretch and bend.

Mr. Incredible is in a rut. He is working for an insurance company, and is still trying to help people by always accepting their claim. Basically he is in mid-life crisis. He feels the call to help people more then ever, he is stuck between both worlds; his normal one and his super adreline one.

He gets fired from his job after he gets angry at his boss for not letting him stop a mugger. He mysteriously gets hired by a 'secret government'. After a few mission, the secret agency is no secret agency at all. It's a nemesis; Syndrome.

Then his wife and two children (One has superspeed and the other one can go invisible and conjur force field) have to go save him, and they get intwined into a bigger plot then they would have known.

I believe the plot is done extremely well! It is set in a retro late 40's early 50's and the time frame is fitted well. The plot relates to children as it is slightly comical, and teaches important lessons, and has a superhero who saves the day only when he can embrace others, but is also interesting for the adults who find it almost plausible, and as they ponder the more intricate details such as the movie.

The cartoon effect of the movie; relalistic yet obviously animated both involves the viewer yet lets them know that it is a like a comic book. The effects are done well, the characters and settings are colourful and well done. The special effects such as the lava and the beams are effectively used.

The voices have been done extremely well and the life like movement of the characters once again is eeriely real.

The children are entertained by the colourful fun characters, which have a moral to each of the characters. Mr. Incredible must learn that his time as the 'time: superhero of the year is over and it is time to let new people have their time to shine. Elastigirl learns that her children are not to be underestimated. Dash learns that he is special no matter what and Violet learns that she doesn't need to hied.

The adults are however pleased with the realism and the more smaller details, such as the realistic rut Mr. Incredibles goes through, how the family is not harmonic.

The thing that really impressed me was how the powers correlated to real life. The father of the family has to be strong and brave. The mom has to be flexible to her parents needs. The young boy is full of energy and life! The girl is good at being invisible to people, and can shield herself from the movie.

What got me was at the ender I just found it boring. I don't know why, maybe it was that the plot was a bit stetched too far. Anyway thats what I think Thank you

I thought it was Pixar's best animation to date. I would of liked to see more variety of characters though especially Samuel L. Jackson's character Frozen. I thought it was odd how all the characters were white then there's one token black guy. You don't see his wife.
