Region 0 DVDs in the UK
Hi everyone, I thought this would go here but if it should be in Knowledge or something then feel free to move it.
I'm planning on sending an Australian DVD to a friend in Scotland for Christmas and I'm not sure if she will be able to play it. The DVD says it's Region 0 which from what I've read means it's region-free and can play in all regions. But does that mean that even if her player is hard-wired Region 2 only then this Region 0 disc will play, or does it mean she also needs a multi-region/region-free player to play this multi-region disc? Cheers! I can't find a straight answer through Google, they seem contradicting or maybe I'm just late learning about these DVD things. (region region region) |
it means it's a regionless disc and should work. Genreally regionless discs are illegal copies, but that may depend on your country.

Cheers Ganguro, this isn't an illegal disc, it's from one of the biggest electronic and entertainment chains in Australia (JB Hi-Fi) so I'm sure it's legitimate.
Thanks! |
