SpongeBob, the Movie
Okay, You all know I'm a huge SB fan. I took the kids friday to see the movie, and it was good. It kept their attention the whole hour and a half. Most of the jokes went over their head, just as in the tv cartoon, but they still laughed. I enjoyed it until the last 20 minutes or so, it was a very silly ending. But, overall, it was quite enjoyable.

I love Spongebob but I didn't really care for the movie that much. There were a couple of times Patrick was just hilarious, but all in all I think it's very hard to make a 20 min cartoon into a great 2 hour movie.

Just saw it, and in my professional opinion it needs more Squidward. That whole thing with that dorky bicycle thing he has is pretty funny, though. When the ending number started, I shifted uncomfortably a bit, but the following sequence with the wizard outfit made up for it.
I don't recall seeing the scene from the ads with David Hasselhoff swimming like a dolphin. DVD extra, I guess.

Okay, I'm going. I am a grown man with no kids, but I LOVE Spongebob, and I don't even know why. I have a Spongebob screensaver, Spongebob calendar (I hope I get a new one for 2005 at Cristmas!!!), and various other Spongebob stuff. Some people think I'm wierd, but there is this underlying adult humour that is spread thoughout the shows that I find hilarious.
Anyway, I wanted to see the movie, my thought I was a flake, so myself to renting it sometime when I had a weekend to myself. Not anymore, I'm going! Peace, Pierre
