Sickest AR episode ever. Specially when Freddy pukes in to his own bowl and has to eat it again. Geez, everyone else just puked on the floor. That was sick...

See ya Gus and Hera, they weren't going to win, so it was a good time for them to go, and yes thank you for no Gus speedo shot.

Geez Jon is ripped. And congrats to Lori and Bolo from being way behind to being way in front. Oh and did anyone get any indication that someone did pull the gate back down on Freddy's head? I think he just went crazy for nothing.

That was hilarious, though I think the best part was when the models were in there and he was chowin down with no problems until she pointed out to him all the puke on the floor. hahahahaha. What a team mate, then he pukes in his own bowl and she just about looses it herself... aw man, that was classic.

And what was the story with all the whining over the gate being pulled down? Did someone actually do it or did he just run into it?

blitz.fenix 01-05-2005 05:31 PM

"Good job honey keep at it, looks like the other teams had much more difficulty with this challenge."

*Looks over at puke*
*Pukes in bowl*

This was the funniest episode of AR ever. I loved it.

boom29 01-05-2005 06:20 PM

Too bad I missed it, couldn't turn away from the USC rout of Oklahoma. :) How did Bolo and Lori manage to make all that time up?

Daval 01-06-2005 05:34 AM

They were stuck at the train station and thought they had to wait till 7am or something. Bolo went and double checked and discovered there was a train at 2am or something, they caught that, the internet cafe was still open and were instructed to go to one of those challenges where they have to pick a number and everyone goes one by one. They went directly to this challenge while everyone else who was like 8 hours before them got some sleep in a local hotel.

They got number 1, did the required stuff to get the clue and got the first fast forward. They completed this and finished hours (seemed like) before everyone else.

From last to first. I was pretty happy with that.

OK, conspiracy theory. Do you think CBS had anything to do with that. I mean they got there late, place was pretty much done for the night (last train was 10 or something), all of a sudden, oh yeah there is one coming at 2 in the morning. Hmm, helped the show out for sure. And I'm happy for Lori and Bolo, after thinking they were out, they won a nice trip.

Daval 01-06-2005 11:05 AM

I doubt they would organize a train for them. I do however think they may have kept the internet cafe open longer than originally intended....

Sensei 01-12-2005 12:54 AM

Hayden almost beat Jonathan for "ass of the episode" this week. It'd be hilarious to see them as a couple.

I'd have to agree. I also thought Victoria outdid Jonathan as well...she's a whiner. But best of all I thought Rebecca's boyfriend, whatever his name is, was hilarious in his diving suit. Her comment about not wanting to be someones mom anymore was great!

Averett 01-12-2005 05:57 AM

Hayden is obnoxious.

Jonathan is still, and always be, the asshole of the race.

Kris and Jon? Still awesome. Although they were getting a bit not so awesome with the ticket agent. Glad they got on the plane though.

Aaron? Loving him. He's pretty funny. And he's a saint for putting up with Hayden.

Rebecca and Adam? Snore. He's obnoxious, and she's too mean to him.

Freddy and Kendra? Snore again. Ugly American sterotype.

Glad it wasn't an elimination round though. I wonder if the Model Alliance will hold, if Freddy and Kendra will give Hayden and Aaron some cash.

Locke7 01-12-2005 06:16 AM

What's with the reuse of the tricky climbing contraption from last season...

Geez I hope Kris and Jon win the race, they are the only two left that should really be in a relationship (well Lori and Bolo too, but they are like circus clowns). I felt bad for them at the airport ticket desk. How would you feel if you made reservations then when you get to the airport they are gone. I'd be pissed too. Can you imaging if that would have happened to Jonathan? He would have went nuts!

The model alliance?? The only one in that alliance that is half sane is Aaron. And yeah, you know who Hayden/Aaron will be going to for money next round... The concept of taking their money away was cool, but it fell apart when the teams figured out they could just ask other teams for money.

Think of it in Jeopardy terms. You have no points and the guy next to you has 2000. Would you ask him to give you the answer to the 500 point question, just because you have nothing and he has a lot??? Sounds kind of silly doesn't it...

BonesCPA 01-12-2005 06:51 AM

I think the model alliance won't last in the next round. I think that the previous generousity of the other teams, including Kris and Jon, will dry up. (Just like Jonathan's grapes.)

An ass is an ass is an ass. At least we got to see Victoria berate him for being a moron. The previews for next week seem like other teams are going to start to berate him too.

And wtf is with Bolo. The guy is so huge yet he can't lift his own body weight, never mind that he runs out of breath in five seconds.

blitz.fenix 01-12-2005 02:49 PM

Now the NEXT episode will be good this one was boring albeit for a few good moments. Jonathon standing around while what's her name is screaming in pain looks funny.

Averett 01-18-2005 06:55 PM

Thank God.

That is all.

brianna 01-18-2005 08:57 PM

I am from the "mule capital of the world" and I feel obligated to point out that it was a lowly mule that saved us all from the skreaching and the bikering and the abuse (not to mention future shots of jonathan in his skivvies *shiver*). so here's to you mule, you served us well.

mrklixx 01-18-2005 09:19 PM

"And rejoicing was heard by all"

Fremen 01-18-2005 10:15 PM

My 4 year old nephew doesn't carry on as much as Victoria did.
Glad it's over.

inharmony 01-19-2005 05:32 AM

While yes I too am glad that they are gone, you gotta admit it was entertaining. :)

Sensei 01-19-2005 11:57 AM

I bet they could have filled an entire hour's show of Jonathan betrating Victoria after they finished last. I'm also glad that we don't have to see them anymore.

BonesCPA 01-19-2005 01:08 PM

I gotta have one final gripe about them:

Did you notice as they strolled up to the finish line, they had all of those kids in tow. I have a feeling Jonathan will see in his mind that he was recreating Ali from the Rumble in the Jungle scenario. What an ass. (I had to get it out, I won't have him anymore to complain about.)

And did anybody else have a feel good moment when Kendra talked about the poverty level in Addis Adaba? Ah, to be young, pretty and dumb.

Locke7 01-19-2005 01:09 PM

Thank goodness the two psycho's are gone.

And was it Kendra again spouting off about how impoverished the people of Addis Ababa are. Another fantastic quote... "The animals are even skinnier here."

Derwood 01-19-2005 07:38 PM

Another gem: "The poverty here is different. It's like they enjoy being poor."

boom29 01-19-2005 07:52 PM

I'm glad Hayden and Aaron were able to regroup after their performance last week.

Daval 01-26-2005 10:57 AM

Its a shame that Lori and Bolo are gone, I liked those two.

inharmony 01-26-2005 05:14 PM

I missed last nights show. :( I hate that Lori and Bolo are gone as well.

BonesCPA 01-27-2005 03:14 PM

Was it me, or does it seem like we have less to bitch about now that Jonathan is gone?

And was anyone else ready to applaud the producers for having the players have to swim in the pool for the last part. Talk about wet t-shirt time. Programming geniuses they are.

Averett 01-27-2005 04:01 PM

I was disappointed that they didn't have to change into Speedo's first. I have fond memories of Jon in a Speedo ;)

psyday 01-27-2005 04:55 PM

Why couldn't Jonathan and his wife (can't remember her name) still be in it and the models be gone.

At least those two were entertaining due to their insanity. The models are really just disgusting.

Derwood 01-27-2005 05:21 PM

I won't miss the wrestlers at all.

Happy that Kris and Jon are still in. Thanks for more wet Kris footage!

Lockjaw 01-27-2005 08:59 PM

My hated couples are still there. Freddy and Kendra. Hayden and Aaron. I'm hoping against hope Kris and Jon will win but I think the other teams are going to win and it sickens me. At least if Lori and Bolo were in there I wouldn't have minded if they ended up winning.

silent_jay 01-28-2005 12:59 PM

I liked Lori and Bolo sorry to see them gone.

spongy 01-28-2005 03:07 PM

I think that Adam and Rebecca are the only weak team left.
I looove Rebecca, but Adam is a big wuss-boy whiner.

How cool was it when she said that if she needed to suck it up and be his girlfriend than he would?

But I would like to see Kris and John win, they seem to be having a great time and are being nice, not just going crazy like almost everyone else.

m0rpheus 01-28-2005 08:44 PM

Gonna miss L+B, really tho I dont much care about any of the teams left. Last time I was rooting for Chip and Kim the whole time, this time I'm pretty much indifferent to the final 4.

Locke7 02-02-2005 05:56 AM

I really don't understand the concept of putting a Yield on a leg of the race that isn't an elimination. I guess you could say that they are put out because of the money thing (specially in China), but I thought it was kind of lame.

And we actually got to see some emotion out of Kris and Jon (I hope they win). I would have been pretty pissed to lose the race because I picked the wrong cabbie...

The rest of the teams are garbage. I was really hoping Adam and Rebecca were gone last night. Oh well, 2 more hours to go.

Averett 02-02-2005 05:59 AM

Awesome show last night. Poor Kris and Jon. But you know, even in the situation they were in they managed to keep their cool. Could you imagine Jonathan and Victoria in that situation? Oh, I forgot, Jonathan can make anyone do anything he wants

That window washing thing? There is no way in hell I could do that. That was crazy.

BonesCPA 02-02-2005 06:51 AM

I have a feeling that Rebecca and Adam are going to have a tough time getting out of the country with no money. I don't think the begging route is going to be too successful.

I loved that they had trouble getting cabs to stop - even when they walked in front of them.

One more show left. I don't have a favorite and unlike last time, I don't necessarily have an unfavorite either. I'm just enjoying the eye candy.

boom29 02-02-2005 07:17 PM

I've liked Hayden and Aaron since the beginning, so I guess I'll be rooting for them to win. I can already picture Adam whining for money. Make it stop. :)

m0rpheus 02-03-2005 01:51 PM

Question, why have a non-elimination round on the show before the finale? I mean really what the hell? I knew as soon as Lori and Bolo were eliminated that this week was non-elimination because there was left and therefore didnt really feel that concerned about any of the teams.

BonesCPA 02-08-2005 03:59 PM

Only a couple hours to go. Any thoughts people? I'm leaning towards Hayden and Aaron. They just seem to get it together at the right team. But I wouldn't be suprised on any of them winning - no bowling moms left in the group this year.

mrklixx 02-08-2005 10:27 PM

If all was right in the universe, Kris and John shoud have won, but oh well, at least Kendra won't have to ever deal with thos people who want to be poor and wallowing in their own filth ever again.

On a side note: I can't believe that they are having Rob and Amber from Survivor on next season! What's the Deal with AR whoreing out to all the other CBS reality shows?

Daval 02-09-2005 06:01 AM

Well, I was really dissapointed that Kris and John didnt win, I was pulling for them, or Hayden and Aaron.

Kendra really repulsed me with her views on other parts of the world.

Oh well. 3 weeks till the next series. Wow, they are pumping these suckers out fast!

BonesCPA 02-09-2005 06:18 AM

I was disappointed in the final "challenge". Eating pizza. At an easily locatable pizza place. And Kendra still had trouble doing that. Disappointment.

I did like how the producers arranged for the train to come just in time to block Kris and John. That's good planning. (No sarcasm intended.)

And at least give us a couple of months before you start up again. Three weeks? Don't go Millionaire on us. A little anticipation is good.

Lockjaw 02-09-2005 07:21 AM

I need a new show to wash the taste of this one out of my mouth. First having to put up with an abussive ass for most of the show and then having it topped off by a bigoted witch winning settled it for me. I watched right up until the pizza stunt and when they said that was the last one and the they were done I flipped the channel. I just couldn't stomach seeing that scum winning. I hope they get paper cuts everytime they spend any of that money.

sapiens 02-09-2005 07:43 AM

I am drawn to the show both for the adventure and because I enjoy watching the teams work together (or not work together) to solve problems. I was disappointed that Kris and John didn't win. I didn't like Kendra's bigoted views of the world (though her comments were entertaining), but I wasn't outraged that Freddy and Kendra won. They worked well together. They were supportive of one another. I didn't want Hayden and Aaron to win. They did not work well together. Hayden was obnoxious. Aaron was the driving force of that team. I didn't think that the hellboy team worked well together either.

Locke7 02-10-2005 07:24 AM

I too was dissapointed with the Kris/Jon loss. Although Kendra is ridiculous and Freddy's glasses are from an age long past, they were a very strong team. And hey, what is better than starting their marriage off with a million bucks. Good for them.

I don't know how many of you are survivor watchers, but I am really pumped that Rob and Amber (Amba') are in the next one. I love watching people from other reality shows end up on Amazing Race. Well I guess what's her name from Big Brother last season was kind of lame. But Rob and Amber should be fun.

sapiens 02-10-2005 07:39 AM

I liked Rob and Amber on Survivor, but I hate watching people from other reality shows on another show. I like the premise that these are ordinary people racing across the world. Casting winners from another show is stunt casting. It violates that premise. I don't like it.

Locke7 02-10-2005 09:33 AM

I'll agree with you on that sapiens. But I think about after the second survivor (when reality shows really started taking over), the people they cast are less and less ordinary. When's the last time you saw an ugly chick or guy on one of these shows? You almost have to have something extraordinary just to get on. Like next race, we've got 2 survivors, and a ex POW...

I should sign up though, I'd no better than to be final 3 and only check with one airline for the fastest flight...

sapiens 02-10-2005 10:50 AM

I agree that they have never really casted "ordinary people. I can understand why they don't want "ordinary" people - they want big personalities and conflict. I don't like when the result of this is a cast filled with people who look the same, have the same backgrounds, and are pursuing similar careers. There are too many models, aspiring actors and actresses, etc. on these shows... I don't think that the producers are interested in casting a diverse group of people.

That said, I will continue to watch Amazing Race.

Averett 02-10-2005 11:08 AM

This was the first season that I watched, so I don't know what the casts were for previous shows. But this season was just like any other reality tv show cast. Pretty people. Lets face it, we like looking at pretty people.

I'm looking forward to Rob and Amber being on next season (seems weird to say that when it's just 3 weeks away), I think they'll do really well. And the ex-POW guy, that'll be pretty cool.

BonesCPA 02-11-2005 02:42 PM

The do have some "ordinary" people in the race. They are generally the ones gone in the first few weeks. There are always an "old" couple that seem to do OK for a few weeks, and then it the wheat is separated from the chaff.

I actually don't think the Rob and Amber will do well, although they will definitely do better than Alison and Donny (not hard to do). I think that AR and Survivor are two different concepts. In AR your skills are generally physical needs, while Survivor has that element, your scheming is more important. Sweet talking ain't getting you to finish line first. You also don't have an alliance that can eliminate tougher opponents. I think they should do fine, but I don't expect them to be in the final 5.

Derwood 02-11-2005 05:30 PM

i'll root for Amber and Rob the whole way. Would be cool to see them win $1 million AGAIN. Plus they have no pressure to win whatsoever. They're in it for the fun, so they will probably not fight the whole time.
