Sometimes you get a feeling Like you need some kind of change. No matter what the odds are this time, Nothing's going to stand in my way. This flame in my heart, And a long lost friend Gives every dark street a light at the end. Standing tall, on the wings of my dream. Rise and fall, on the wings of my dream. The rain and thunder The wind and haze I'm bound for better days. It's my life and my dream, Nothing's going to stop me now. Edit: gotta learn to refresh. Frank and jay got it.

It's hard to gauge the rest of what we can expect from the season from a (late) Halloween episode, but I don't think it was too bad. It was a lot better than last year's, which didn't even have anything horror-related going on in it.

This same topic almost always comes up somewhere at the beginning of every new season.
I imagine it's hard to have a hit with every show and there are always naysayers out there who are always ready to pronounce the end of the series. I watched it. There were some hits and some misses. I thought the Flanders/Dead Zone thing was pretty funny as well as the "fantastic voyage" spoof. I'm glad someone cleared up the Perfect Strangers theme thing, it was driving me crazy. If you want to talk dismal, try checking out the new Adult Swim cartoons they've tried to pawn off lately. Stoker and Hoop? Squidbillies? And what the hell was that Space Ghost discussion thing? /thread jack Carry on.

Actually, I wanna talk about that Perfect Hair Forever thing, regardless of appropriate thread location. There's some who say that the entire Squidbillies hype thing was a big hoax leading up to this 30-minute joke... I say there's not enough weed in the world to make that show funny. AS has had the habit ever since the Space Ghost days of mindfucking the viewers, seeing exactly how much they'll tolerate, but that was just way too repetitive and lackluster to appreciate- except Catman.

Since no one else has chimed in with it yet, I'll go ahead:
Worst Episode Ever... j/k I actually thought it was pretty good in places. I too liked the Dead Zone/Flanders spoof. The more I watch the Simpsons (I set my ReplayTV to record any that come up) the more I see the good and the bad. There are times that we sit through an entire episode with little more than a chuckle. Then there are gems that have both of us rolling out of our chairs with laughter. One that comes to mind is the episode where Comic Book Guy has a cardiac episode ("worst episode ever!"). Bart and Milhouse are left running the store and sneak into Comic Book Guy's secret stash of lost TV moments. The clip of Mr. Rogers drunk was one of the funniest things I have ever seen on television! "What do ya mean I can't take off my shweater! I'm HOT!" Good times. |
