ER - Last nights episode - Oct 21/2004
Who saw last nights episode?
I thought it was very good. The death of the two young girls was just heartwrenching, Once the episode ended I went and gave my daughter and extra tuck-in and huge hug and kiss, I'm really a softy when it comes to those types of episodes. Also, the leaving of Dr. Corday was bit of a suprise, I heard she was going to have a reduced role but I didnt expect her to leave. I guess I can't really complain the way they handled it. I would have expected a little bit more battle from John Carter. I wish a helicopter would land on Kerry Weavers head. Daval

Of all the episodes to miss! I have been watching ER now for 10 years and I only missed a dozen or so episodes. It sounded like a good one.
ER hasn't been half bad these last two years. I've been relatively happy with it. There are a few characters (Abby, Cordey) who I really had a hard time getting behind, but I still found it to be an enjoyable show. Carter will be a big void to fill when he goes. No one on the cast has Carters charisma. I don't think he's the most talented, but he is pretty good. Question - has ER lost its magic? Has it worn out all it's tricks? CSI has the gruesome, blood and guts stuff and does it better. What does ER have that other series don't? Discuss.. |

ER has more of a continuing storyline whereas CSI is more or less a one-off each episode, thats what I like.
I've been pretty happy with the last couple of years too. I agree about Abby, although now that she's become a doctor I think she's more interesting.

Abby becomes a doctor!? I haven't watched any NEW episodes of ER since Carter and Luca went to the Congo. I've been watching reruns every morning on TNT because they started with Episode 1 a few months ago and they started the 3rd season a few days ago. It's cool to see a whole season in about 2 weeks
oh sorry for not staying on topic of "last nights" episode.

I thought it was a good episode. Unfortunately, I had learned at the beginning of the season that Alex Kingston (Corday) was unhappy that her character wasn't getting enough story-line time and wanted out, so her leaving was not a surprise to me. What was surprising was that the writers gave her character such a noble exit, concerning the operation and all. From what I heard she had gotten into quite the fight with the producers over her character's role...I guess that doesn't involve the writers. Eh.
Anyway, I'm glad Susan's back, she's a good character. And although I'm a little sick of her character, I'm glad Neela is going to accept Susan's offer to come back to the hospital...they need her! It's just a show, Matt, it's just a show... |

I liked last weeks episode, damn that neela is one hot piece of arse! I think Pratt is my favorite Character. I miss the other Black guy though. The one that went to the show Hawaii. ER is one of the few shows i still watch on TV regularly. I work afternoons now and don't get home till 10pm so the shows I watch religously are now
Scrubs - funniest tv sitcom of all time IMO ER - only started watching this show about 3 seasons ago but love it Joey - only cause my wife tapes from 8-22pm Will and Grace - I think will and grace suck ass but love jack and the drunk bitch. DB Last edited by DonnieBoy; 10-24-2004 at 05:25 AM.. |

I actually fell asleep during the last episode of ER, so I didn't see that Corday left and Neela got rehired, but I'm not terribly surprised. In fact, not much about the show surprises me anymore. I think the last thing that surprised me was the helicopter crashing on Romano's head, and just when I was starting to like him, too.
The last couple of seasons have been pretty good, but I think the episodes are getting too gimmicky. "Next week on ER: What happens when there's a blackout in the ER, and a blizzard hits, and a school bus full of children careens off a cliff? It will be a new start for someone, and someone will never come back. And Blossom will need to make a decision about her relationship with Joey." (Oh wait...wrong show for that last one). Quote:
Eh...maybe I'm just grumpy.
