I was sad to see The Practice end, but I'm glad that they used it to spin off Boston Legal. Anyone else catch the series premire? I take a sadistic pleasure in the tactics that James Spader (Alan Shore) uses, and Rhona Mitra (Tara) is hotter than hell, so that's a plus.

How can you not love Shatner rambling on? Denny Crane.

Was the premier last on last night?

I was flipping channels, and think I saw it.. Didn't know it was the premier though, or I would have watched, as I generally only am interested in those sorts of shows if I can get in from day one.

It was on Sunday night, but since I'm now Tivo-dependant, I just watched it this morning. Try catching it next Sunday....I'm sure you'll be able to get into it without any problems.

It surprised me because I actually enjoyed it. I wasn't expecting to like it as much as I did. Spader's character rocks.... but I'm just wondering how long before the writers have someone beat the living snot out of that character. lol

And yes....Tara is hot.

I'm sure we can count on a few guest appearances from the old firm. Oh, how I'd love to see Eugene assigned as judge to one of Alan's cases.

I liked it. It's now on the Tivo season pass.

I think James Spader revitalised the Practice. I actually laugh when I watch the show now, where before it was kind of depressing and everyone was fighting all the time. It's kind of like a male-oriented Ally McBeal.

William Shatner is really funny. Denny Crane!!! :p

There are very few shows I make a point of watching, but this is one of them. Spader's character is just great, and Shatner should win something for his role.

Shatner did win an Emmy for his role in The Practice last season as Denny Crane.

His acceptance speech opening line: <b>"What took you so long?"</b>

I missed the premiere but I was really excited to hear they spun off a series just to keep Spader on board as Alan Shore. Spader and Shatner are just so delightfully weird that I can't help but be entertained by them...and like you said, Rhona is ridiculously hot.

I saw it and was confused. I've never seen The Practice so I guess that's why I was totally lost. Hot chicks were a plus tho

I've been watching this show since the beginning, and now with Candice Bergen coming on it's looking to get even better :D If you haven't been watching, you should definitely start - a new episode is on at 9PM tonight on ABC :thumbsup:
