Mr. 3000.........don't bother
Has anyone else seen this movie? It stars Bernie Mac as a baseball player who reached 3000 hits and then retired but then records indicated that he only hit 2997 so he comes out of retirement to get his 3000 hits back. I saw it on Friday night and I just gotta say that movie really sucked. Now going into it I didn't really expect a deep plot or really even a good story but I at least expected it to be funny, I mean it's got Bernie Mac, but it couldn't even do that. It just plain sucked. There were only a few small moments of humor and even those were mild humor at best. I was just really disappointed by it. Not only do I think it was a waste of my time and money to see it in the theater, but I think it'd be a waste to rent it, or even to illegally download it, it's just not worth it.
I'm interested to hear what others thought about the movie and how my opinion comparies to others.

Of course I went to see a baseball movie, there are plenty of great baseball movies out there. And of course there are several bad ones too, but just because it's a baseball movie doesn't automatically make it crap. And I find Bernie Mac funny, sure he's not the best, but he's still good. He was hilarious in Oceans Eleven and his tv show was often funny too. However, this movie did suck and Bernie Mac wasn't very funny in it.

The Filthy Critic reviewed Mr. 3000 this week. I didn't have much interest in the first place, but I usually find Filthy's reviews to be right on, and sometimes hilarious.
Filthy says: "I'd rather watch a Brewers-Diamondbacks game."
