"Jill's Awakening" a good one
i just finished reading a book called jill's awakening. its a disaster book with a female heroin who starts out as anti gun but she gets caught in some riots that bring down the government.
she has to escape and get home. then she has to learn to use a gun to defend herself. theres some sex and romance along the way and lots of shooting. you can find it here: http://www.lulu.com/content/68255 |

ok sorry. but i liked it because it takes place in an area close to where i live. i also enjoy books of the end of society type. where the character is a common person that faces adversity. i deplore plots where the character has be through all sorts of secret training and uses special weapons. to me thats no challange only over kill.
the character in this story starts out as a weak female executive that is very anti-gun and very trusting in her fellow man. when the riots break out she sees just how mean and vicious people can be. so shes along way from the mack bolan ar a kill squad type character. it was interesting to see how see copes. there were some sex scenes that figured into the story. she also has a romance with a survivalist type man that helps her to understand what has happened and helps her along the way. but she doesn't depend on him like a helpless person. i hope this is helpful. i have always just given a synopsis to books i have read, |

Well I was reading Dostoyevsky's masterpiece 'The Brothers Karamozov' but screw that!
No seriously, this sounds kind of like a book Charlton Heston wrote in his spare time between NRA conventions. I mean is there a romantic, touching moment where the heroine and hero passionately kiss after she shoots her first stereotypical rioter? Do they even address the ethical implications involved in a woman going from pacifist to hard hearted, but well armed killer? I mean, there's no better way to ensure a return to stable, democratic government than by becoming a vigilante style killer... Then again, there is sex scenes... |
