Saw The Notebook today....
I thought it was beautiful. You can call me gay or whatever I don't care I really enjoyed it. Got a big lump in my throat during those last 30 or 40 min of it. Almost cried...I was fighting it. Really sweet movie. Saw Wicker Park the other day...it wasn't what I expected but it also was pretty enjoyable in the end...not like Notebook but still enjoyable. I can't imagine most other dudes liking the movie though.

I liked The Notebook a lot, too. My wife and I saw it together, and it was a beautiful experience.

Sounds like the kind of movie that would drive me to kill...

I saw it too, and really enjoyed it. The book has always been on of my favourites, and I thought they did a great job. Doesn't hurt, either, that I grew up 2 blocks from the lead actress and now live in the home town of the lead actor :p

Hmm had no idea the 2 a them were from Canadia...More and more comin up in the business every year. Good stuffs. Ya know I can't believe the critics gave this movie a rotten rating at Rottentomatoes. That just pisses me off. Unless yer a shallow jackoff there is no reason not to like the movie. I think I may wanna buy it when it comes out.

I saw this movie a while ago when it first came out, and I have to go against the pack here and say I did not like it all that much....
I found it to predicatable in general, and at times it seemed ilke they were just going for tears with the direction of the movie... I saw it with my friend and his girlfriend and her friend, and both of them lloved the movie though if it matters, both of them had read the book as well, and i think that may have contributed to thier liking of the movie... Overall, I just found it to predictable and cliched... Still enjoyable just not my cup of tea... I however did like the scene Spoiler: when they are just laying in the street talking and then dance in the street |

I think the most personal and touching scenes involved Spoiler: them as old people in the nursing home and him having to get her to remember him every day. The part where he loses her again and they have to start injecting her right in front of him while he breaks down in tears was probably the most touching of the bunch...that one really made you feel sad.

Having read the book, I was pleased to find the film an excellent adaptation. Saw it with my husband, and the only thing he found wrong with it was that the image on the movie poster was not in the film. Oh well, gotta concentrate on something to keep the tears away.
