By the way... just saw in Variety that James Marsters (Spike) will definately be joining the cast of Angel... and Charisma Carpenter (Cordelia) will be leaving...

I heard she got fired for no good reason, and a lot of people are upset about it. Of course, that could be totally false.

I never watched Angel, but now that Spike is going over, I'm gonna have to start!

Read a critic somewhere that I had to agree with on the finale: too much stuff in too little time.

Wish there'd been a chance to flesh out the battle and the personal relationships in more than 60 minutes. It all felt a bit rushed.

Looking back, I think it would have been cool to have the final battle for Sunnydale last over the final 3 or 4 episodes. COuld have been very interesting.

Oh well, I guess I'll just wait for SMG to get a few Scooby Doo movies out of her system and then come crawling back to Joss. I predict a Buffy the Vampire Slayer movie before 2010.

and i was really surprised about spike to. hope they still get him over to angel.
Andrew just disturbed me the entire time. He added nothing to the group dynamic really except that if they let him go he would probably go "bad" again (not that he ever really seemed that bad to begin with). I would have liked him more if they fleshed him out. He seemed to be very one-dimensional the entire time. The only time I liked the character and what the did with him was when Buffy tormented him into crying to close the gate. It showed he had some realness to him but that was never displayed again. Anyway, I think his lack of fighting skill would have made it more believable if he did just get totally overwhelmed right off the bat in the big final fight.

Gosh, I guess the only thing we all have in common is love of the show. I liked Andrew a lot, and tho' I do agree they could have fleshed him out more, he seemed to get some of the funniest lines- i.e. to provide comic relief. I think for the sake of irony it was right that one of the weakest should survive, and it did leave Anya with hero status, as he described her as *saving my life.* Anya as a hero, _was_ ironic.

I thought it was too bad that other than the big eye gouging scene, they pretty much put Xander out to pasture. It seemed they did little with his character this season.

I'm one of the six people who didn't watch the show. I have only watched it twice, and it turned out to be the same episode both times. I think it was called Hush.

I enjoyed the hell out of that episode, and would have watched it more often, but ongoing battles with my satellite supplier killed it for me.

I'll admit the first episode I really watched was the series finale. And now that I found it on the FX channel in the mornings before I leave for work, I'm really getting into it. Well that and reading all the quotes on the quotes on IMDB (link).

Very upsetting to see Anya die, I thought she was great, but it was well done and fit with the characters wishes it seemed.

This morning was the first episode in the series, so I taped it and I'll watch it tonight. Its weird to see the characters grow, in a matter of weeks in reruns rather than the actual years in real time.

I will proudly state - through the anonymity of TFP code names - I am a Buffy fan.

the only problem with watching it in syndication is that sometimes it's reformatted for syndication. That means that they take out non key scenes and dialogue to squeeze more time out for commercials. Sucks, but if that's the only way to catch up...

Enjoy! Sometimes FX has holiday Buffy Marathons... last year they did a 1st season marathon....in one day.. we had people over that day.. and they stayed for almost the whole marathon.

If you really enjoy it, plunk down the dough to buy the DVD's. Each season's DVD's are really well produced with alot of commentary and extras. I especially enjoy the Joss commentary. Good stuff.

Got season three for my sister on her birthday and recieved an excited phone call from her while still at work. Guess she digs it too.

yeah... I have to make friends with people at Fox so that I can get those DVD sets... so far I've been lucky to get a number of sets gratis in exchange for MTV and other swag...
