summer movie box office blowouts....
with the matrix reloaded coming out tomorrow and a whole grip of summer blockbusters soon to follow (ie: t3 rise of the machines, the hulk, american wedding, the italian job, 2 fast 2 furious, legally blonde 2, tomb raider 2, charlies angels: full throttle, bruce almighty, bad boys 2, dumb and dumberer) which ones do you think will make a difference in the box office?
1. matrix reloaded - i think its gonna be big...but not too big. its a rated r movie so not a lot of people will be able to get in. i know underaged kids will buy movies for a pg13 movie and sneak in...but that wont affect the numbers for the matrix. 2. the hulk - although ang lee changed the story line dramatically from the comic, marvel so far has done no wrong. its gonna be pg13 so anyone and everyone will be able to get in. i think its gonna be one of the biggest hits of the summer. 3. bruce almighty - jim carrey hasnt produced anything hilarious since me myself and irene. i think this is gonna be a contender, but wont crack #1. now that i think about it...out of all the movies i listed, only bruce almighty and the hulk are original movies. everything else is a remake or a sequel. are there any movies i forgot? what do you guys think?

I don't even know if The Hulk counts as an original, since it's based off a comic.
I want to see 28 Days Later, but since it's limited release I don't think that I'll be able to, and will certainly prevent it from being a blockbuster. There's Pirates of the Caribbean, but I don't know how that's going to do, pirate movies aren't really too popular since Errol Flynn died. There's the new Tomb Raider movie, also a sequel. Might do okay. And then there's Freddy vs Jason and Jeepers Creepers II at the end of the summer. Too many sequels!

Well it will be interesting to watch with the economy in the state that it is.
People want escapism from the movies in the summer, and there definitely is going to be an interesting one to watch.

Matrix reloaded will probally be the highest grossing R rated film of the year, maybe of all time. Since it's a sequel parents have kind of previewed (and approved) the first matrix and the rating isn't going to mean as much, although it still won't do as good as it would have if it were Rated PG-13. I gained a little respect for the directors when I saw that it wasn't PG-13 for a blockbuster like the Matrix
I'm am mostly looking forward to 28 days later, The Italian Job, and Bruce Almighty..oh and of course Matrix Reloaded. I might even see that Stuck on you with Matt Damon and Greg Kinnear. Farrelly brothers are Hilarious
