Family Guy Seasons 1 and 2 DVD.. Anyone buying it? - Tilted Forum Project Discussion Community

Hiya everyone.

Last week the Family Guy Seasons 1 and 2 DVD was released. It is 4 DVDs (28 episodes), and from what I heard from a friend our whole county sold out of it two days after its release.

This is certainly a good thing, as the huge popularity of it may spur someone (UPN most likely) to make new episodes.

I downloaded the episodes, but still intend on buying the DVD when the stores get it back in stock. I found out about the show after it had been cancelled (doh), but this seems to be the case most of the time, as I also started to love Seinfeld a few years after it had gone off the air.

Has anyone purchased the Family Guy DVDs yet? Care to share your thoughts?

Does anyone else intend to buy them in the future?

The show is funny, and makes references to so many things, that it is almost assured you aren't getting all of them.

Definitely getting it.

Good price on Amazon.ca for you other Canadians. Better than you'll get at Future Shop, even with S&H.

i heard its season 1 with only a few episodes from season 2. can anyone point me in the right direction with that?

I don't believe it. Us in region 2 land beat you to it.
Family Guy has been out on DVD here for ages now.
Havent bought it myself yet though.

Can you get Futurama on DVD?

The show was so unpopular that they cancelled it but it is so popular that they have it come out on DVD.

Just to confirm, the release does include the entire first two seasons of the show. However, according to IGN DVD there is a banned episode from season 2 or something...

I think I'll buy it next week.

i bought it friday... $35 at best buy.

circuit city and i think wal mart had it on sale too. don't know when (or if) the sales ended.

it is fucking fantastic. highly recommended.
