Rocky vs Diesel - Don't know what to think.
Saw this on another board and just don't know what to think.
http://movieweb.com/news/news.php?id=4798 Vin Diesel vs. 'Rocky Balboa'? Monday, August 9th, 2004 Source: VinXperience , Dark Horizons Rocky 6: According to The Vin Diesel Experience, actor Vin Diesel may be up for a role in Sylvester Stallone the proposed treatment of Rocky 6, playing Rocky's opponent... "Katzenberg is in talks with Sylvester Stallone to bring Rocky over to Dreamworks. The company is quite happy with what Sly's doing for 'The Contender' and are apparently dotting i's, crossing t's, to see that Balboa can safely set up shop at the Shrek stable. Sylvester and Sage Stallone are apparently the duo negotiating the deal (both plan to star in the film, playing father and son). The only casting rumor thats surfaced is Vin Diesel playing the new opponent. I assume he'd be playing some kind of new hot shot, because the script reeportedly revolves around Balboa's big comeback and a new hot-shot that he has to bring back down to earth". Rocky VI hits theaters in 2004. I just don't know if this is going too far with the Rocky series? Maybe they should have left well enough alone?

I dont get this? How could he make a "come back" when in rocky V he barely beat Tommy Gunn. He has major head damage. And cant fight. All i can think of is, him training his son to fight. But i dont think Rocky can fight anymore. So i dont under stand. heh, thats a first .

Oh my God. Rocky V sucked bad enough. And now Rocky VI with Vin Diesel? Sounds pretty bad. Not only that but Rocky V came out in 1990. So now 14 years later Rocky all the sudden is going to make a comeback in his mid 50's (not exactly sure what age he would be but this is what I would guess). I don't want to see a 50 year old Rocky.
They should've end at Rocky II or Rocky III, or at most Rocky IV.

Physically, Stallone looks like he will be able to do another Rocky, but I don't know about legally.

I was watching Rocky V the other day and I thought about them* making another Rocky movie...whadayakno? I'll probably pass on this or at most bittorrent it. The Rocky series should have ended at IV, which is the best one.

That's what they said after Rocky III...
but Rocky IV was the greatest... I mean seriously, he not only managed to take hundreds of punches directly to the face, he then managed to end the Cold War, honestly, everyone's talking about Reagan, what about Balboa's articulate 'You can all change' speech? EVEN Gorby clapped it, and he was evillllllllllllllllllll.... The answer is... money... What happened to the good old days when Stallone was a legitimate actor in such classic action violence-fests as Death Race 2000 and Rambo III? What a sellout, the only way this movie will be cool will be if Rocky fights to save his fellow vegetables from the tyrannical nursing home staff, and if it has exploding arrows...
