Craig Kilborn--farewell
Craig Kilborn has announced that he is leaving his Late, Late Show to pursue "other projects".
Do you think he has the potential to be more successful than he already has been? I don't feel he will be too difficult to replace. Sportscenter went on without him and the Daily Show is a thousand times better with Jon Stewart. Kilborn may have moderate success in other things, but I think he was lucky to get as far as he did.

He's a pretty funny guy. I used to watch him on the Daily show but I never watched his late show. I hope he has something else already lined up.

I don't think he's funny at all. I'll gladly take his place and do a much better job.

I was not a fan of Craig Kilborn at all. I've tried to watch the show when he had good guests on and just didn't find him funny in the least. I actually see him leaving as an opportunity for them to have a better late night talk show run at that time slot. Maybe they can actually get someone funny to replace him. I really don't care though, In my opinion, Conan is much, much better.

Is he leaving immediately, or while from now?
Any idea who'd replace him? I did enjoy his show some, but I never watch those shows much anyway.

I'd love to see Zach Galifianakis do it but he hated doing his show(Late World with Zach) and he 's tied up with tru calling I believe.
Colbert would be cool but I like seeing him and stewart together on the daily show. norm mcdonald would work and he's not doing anything. Hell what about one of the funny snl writers like smigel,Jim Downey, or even al franken. Hal Sparks from I love the 80s would be a good choice too. bottom line anybody is better than the smug asshole who's leaving. |

I've seen his show a few times. I would change the channel after a few minutes. As an example of how unfunny he is, I use to tell my friend to watch the Daily Show because it's fucking hilarious. He kept disagreeing with me. Finally he saw it and said that he hadn't seen it with Jon Stewart before, but with Kilborn. He then agreed with me that the show was good.

I don't want to keep ganging up on the guy, but I really hated the Daily Show when he was on (though I didn't like Liz Winstead on it either). It's a can't-miss with the team they have now.
I've watched his Late Late Show once or twice, thinking that maybe the Daily Show writers were the ones putting all that smarmy patter in his mouth. Not the case, I found.

i thought he was good on the daily show...it wasn't as popular back then but still quality
then he switched to cbs. at first i thought he sucked. the writers were worthless and conan was much better. conan just isn't quite as funny anymore. andy was a very important element at the show's peak. andy is long gone and the self-deprecation bit has become old. it was funny at first (when they had no budget) but it's really fresh anymore. so i watched kilborn and even kimmel. i found those shows more entertaining. |

Meh, they need to get rid of all of the "late show"-type hosts, all of them. Letterman sucks, Leno sucks, Conan sucks (now, he was funny). They should try recruiting some people who are actually funny.
Steven Colbert or Mo Rocca from the Daily Show need their own shows.
